Former Ikeda Family Garden - Akita - 旧池田氏庭園
The former Ikeda Family Garden is a Japanese style garden located in a rural area of Daisen City in Akita prefecture. The garden was arranged by the Ikeda family who was one of the major landowners in the Tohoku region during the Edo period. The Ikeda family are descendants of the Seiwa clan. In 2004 this pretty garden was designated as a National Site of Scenic Beauty. The garden is at its best during autumn. The garden features a beautiful four-meter tall stone lantern and a western-style building constructed in 1922 that is used to accommodate some members of the Ikeda family on occasion.

【4K】Walking and flying in Miyoshi town near Awa-Ikeda station
Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
I was going to scarecrow place but got too late and being afraid to come to nowhere without place to stay I decided to stop at Awa-Ikeda place with nice business hotel.
After dropping my luggage I went for walk. Walked trlhrouh local Ginza street and old stream, visited big shrine with micro-zoo, got to suspension bridge and flew over the lake/river.

If you want to enjoy driving the south of Kagoshima, you cannot miss this wonderful place, lake Ikeda.
The lake is the biggest in Kyushu Island.
The beautiful contrast of flowers, Lake Ikeda and Mt. Kaimondake is just breath-taking!
In the half of the 20th century, some people have witnessed a monster Issie in the lake.

The montain Kaimon is very beautiful.
The volcano erupted in 8th century and has been dormant since then.
The mountain has the nick-name of Satsuma Fuji, which literally means Mt. Fuji in Kagoshima.
You can go up to the 2nd station of the mountain by the car.
There are free parking lots for climber.
You can climb up to the top for 2.5 hours.
You can walk down from the top to its foot in 1.5 hours.

You see many small yellow flowers in the movie.
Those flowers are called Nanohana
Those flowers are in full-broom from December to February
The flower is known as first flower which start blossom in the year.
There is a marathon held in Ibusuki City in January.
This marathon is called Nanohana marathon.
