This is my daughter Anna Kristen and son-in-law Kyle Gadoury's home in Okinawa Japan. The people are friendly, they have wonderful friends and the island is a paradise for swimming, scuba, snorkle and fishing. I am really enjoying my visit with them.

Ikei Island is one of the four islands in Uruma, a city in Okinawa,Japan. The island is connected with a bridge from mainland Okinawa which is called Kaichu Doro (Mid-Sea Road).
Before getting to Ikei Island you will pass by the other two island which is Henza Island and Miyagi Island.

On July 10 2011, the 2nd Uruma Haarii was held at Ishikawa Fishing Port in Uruma City. In this year, more than 80 teams participated dragon boat race. The race has four sections: Residents' Associations, Adult (Men and Women,) Junior and Women. Participants tried their best and rowed hard under a beautiful sunny sky.
Uruma City is about one hour away from Naha City by car. In summer, many haarii races took place in many parts of the city. The city is surrounded by beautiful nature and is famous for eisa dance and bull fighting. Please visit Uruma city to feel exciting atmosphere!

Located on a small quiet island with white beaches and a blue ocean, Ikeijima AJ Resort provides the ultimate Okinawan retreat. There is no internet access; instead, guests can enjoy the private beach or hot public bath, table tennis, or the animal corner with ponies and rabbits. Water sports can be found around 2 km away.
Spacious rooms come with a balcony and ocean or garden views. They have a seating area, a flat-screen TV and an electric fan as well as air conditioning/heating. A fridge is provided, and all bathrooms come with toiletries and a bathtub, sometimes boasting sea views.
Buffet restaurant Hibis is open for breakfast and dinner, serving a buffet with Japanese, Western and Okinawan dishes. For lunch it offers a selection of lunchboxes with an advance reservation.

August 28, 2010: The day after a typhoon Tony, Grant and i drive halfway up the east side of Okinawa (main island) to explore the three attached islands. Although not the most popular beach, it was still very pretty.
Discovered another Island!! Mid-Sea Road (part 2)
Driving to Ikei-jima Island through Mid-Sea Road.It is a road in Uruma, Okinawa, Japan which connects the Katsuren Peninsula to the Yokatsu Islands.
2.9 miles long , it forms a part of Okinawa Prefectural Road No. 10 and runs across the sea ..
