Since a lot were interested in follow me around vlogs, here it is!
I'm sorry if you can't hear what I'm saying well at the beginning! and also, after the room tour, someone drove me to the museum, so it's NOT the view from where I was staying lol It's been a while since I've done this type of vlogs and I totally have a lot to remember XD Sorry for your inconvenience!
I was at the island to join the tour to visit some shrines that have something to do with Kojiki, which was guided by Mr. Tsuneyasu Takeda - the great great grandson of Meiji Emperor and to listen to his lecture of it. It was so much fun! The footage will be uploaded on my Japanese channel soon together with my rambling in Japanese XD:
One of the reasons why I wanted to visit this place is because back in the day, almost all the Japanese inhabitants there, including a lot of children and women, were massively slaughtered by the Mongolian army with the idea of Korean king, 忠烈王 as Korea was their dependency. We call the invasion, Genkou: 元寇.
What I didn't know til I visit there is that Iki island was being used like a silk road. They used the village that I show in this vid as the relay point to the main island of Japan from China/Korea, meaning they were trading with those places. I was wondering why they decided to attack the island several times but now I see, that it's a historical place where those people knew about it very well - this chinese document 魏志倭人伝 talks about the place too. So does our 古事記 - Kojiki :) They attacked other places as well, though. All our territories remained the same as Japan won and pushed them away :p

Ike-Jime, The Fish Killing Man at Tsukiji Market
Ike-Jime man at Tsukiji Market in Tokyo demonstrates Japanese fish killing techniques including spinal cord destruction using a needle. Please note --fish need to be killed to eat them, and this technique is more humane than most in current use, but could be improved from an animal welfare standpoint. How to kill a fish Iki Jime
How to kill a fish, uses the Iki Jime technique, and old Japanese method. Get a good sharp knife with a strong short blade, or an Iki Jime tool. This is usually just a straight metal spike or similar which can then be inserted into the fishes Brain. The brain is usually located between the eyes, and back a little bit, about one inch on Spanish Mackerel. I like to use the knife and cut in a forward and backward direction and you can't miss. You'll know when you find the fish's Brain.
This is a great fishing tip video, and is highly recommend for looking after your catch. Fishing takes alot of time and money, so you want to respect and look after your fish, and great feed to follow. With a bit of practice it is very effective of killing the fish instantly and prevents further damage to the fishes flesh, from the fish thrashing about on the deck and bruising it's meat. Great for larger Fish such as Tuna and Mackerel as they can be quite dangerous and hard to handle. Just make sure they are secured well when you bring them onboard. This kills the fish instantly and you'll tell by the fish becoming completely still. This is the best way to respect your fish/catch, and end the fishes suffering with a quick humane death. Also still bleed the fish as well at the same time, I like to use scissors and cut the throat, also reducing the red meat, bloodline and keeping the fish as fresh as possible. The next step is to chill the fish down in an ice cold saltwater slurry if possibly and keep on ice. The fish can then last several days iced down properly. Dubstep you could say, but a must do, and no point leaving the fish out in the sun for an hour or more as it will start to deteriorate, especially in our hot summers on the Great Barrier reef. With the price of reef fish nowadays going through the roof, it does pay to look after your catch.

iki jime (ike jime) Humane killing of fish
iki jime is a method of rapidly killing a fish to maximise its eating qualities and welfare. The technique originated in Japan, but is now in widespread use. It involves the insertion of a spike quickly and directly into the brain, thereby causing immediate brain death. When spiked correctly, the fish fins flare and the fish relaxes, immediately ceasing all motion. Together with rapid chilling of the fish in an ice slurry, this technique produces a better coloured and flavoured fillet.

--I removed the music for the problem of copyright, but caused a little trouble the sound effect tremblings-- I visited this island that is near my city Fukuoka, actually, Iki Island which is Nagasaki prefecture, it's an island between southern Japan and North Kyushu and southern part of South Korea. Trip of 1 hour by jetfoil boat. It was mostly rainy day and the driving was quite hard but could go all around the coast to show the Ape shape hill. I edited all of my video shots and assembled without many cuts and there are some shaky images and sounds not well because of music delete. Well, at least you catch some parts of this beautiful island. Hope you will like it!
