Surrounded by the Sea of Kashima and the Tone River, the City of Kamisu is verdant, comfortable town that is blessed with abundant water resources and a temperate climate.
Kamisu has developed with a balance of economic activities, including farming and fishing which make use of the area’s natural blessings, as well as trade and manufacturing, among other businesses.
Kamisu produces a wealth of specialty foods such as marine products and ships more bell peppers than anywhere else in Japan.
At the same time, there are over 180 petrochemical and other industrial companies that are located in the Kashima Coastal Industrial Zone that is centered around the Port of Kashima. Kamisu boasts the highest value of shipped manufactured products in Ibaraki Prefecture.

茨城県神栖市鎮座の息栖神社での祭頭祭。
鹿島神宮祭頭祭で祭頭祭に卜定される地区が神栖市内の場合のみに、息栖神社にも奉納が行われるとの事。
平成23年度左方に卜定されたのは神栖市日川地区(日川郷)でした。

東国三社は、香取神宮と鹿島神宮そして息栖神社。どの神社も関東地方東部にある利根川下流域に鎮座しておりすべての神社をお参りすると素敵なご利益が訪れると言われています。地図上でこの三社を結ぶと綺麗な二等辺三角形となり謎のトライアングルと言われています。トライアングル内の地域では不思議な出来事が
