Ilfracombe: Verity Statue Harbour & Evening Scene North Devon England UK
The Verity Statue In Ilfracombe, which i don't actually like very much, is a stainless steel and bronze statue created by Damien Hirst.. The 20.25-metre (66.4 ft) tall sculpture stands on the pier at the entrance to the harbour in Ilfracombe, Devon, looking out over the Bristol Channel towards South Wales.. It has been loaned to the town for 20 years.. The name of the piece refers to truth and Hirst describes his work as a modern allegory of truth and justice..
Walking through Ilfracombe, Devon, a beautiful harbor town with an amazing art statue, Verity
We have visited Ifracombe harbor many times, there are lots of things to see and do in this beautiful town, great local food to eat, Mum's favorite fudge shop, 'Rolys' and B even falls for the old 'coin stuck to the floor' trick!
Ilfracombe is a seaside resort and civil parish on the North Devon coast, England, with a small harbour surrounded by cliffs. The parish stretches along the coast from the 'Coastguard Cottages' in Hele Bay toward the east and 4 miles along the Torrs to Lee Bay toward the west

Ilfracombe, Verity.....Hector?!
Decided to see how Verity weathered Storm Hector in Ilfracombe last week - battle of the giants! But there she was - still standing. Was glad to see her - I love Verity!
Such a beautiful breezy day - walked along the harbour, past Damien Hirst's restaurant, got an ice cream further up, then round Capstone Hill to see the waves crashing as the tide came in. Flew the kite - little butterfly one! - ended up back at the harbour - great to be a grockle for the day!
it was.... breezy! So apologies for the noise on the video - but it was like that really! I like to keep background noise in videos, sound of the sea, random snippets of conversation going on around me - it's not till I'm editing that I really hear it - anyway - hope you enjoy it! ????☀️????

Ilfracombe, North Devon, UK, 2012.
Had these few clips on my computer and thought i would put them together to make this short video. This video does not really capture just what a nice place Ilfracombe is and it's a fantastic place to go in the evening on a late summers night, but it's a bit cold this time of year though but still a fine place to be,and the scenery is amazing.

Calstar: Swansea to Ilfracombe
Dad's first go with his GoPro :)
A 50 mile weekend, this weekend just gone, Swansea to Ilfracombe and back. Weather was lovely on the way over, but wet and murky for the trip back. The sail out made the trudge home again worth it however. It was my third visit to Ilfracombe; the first was by road, the second aboard Calstar.
The town didn't really throw any switches for me the first couple of times, but I've got to admit, this time around, I realised the place is really beginning to grow on me. Took a bit more time to explore ashore this time around, and found a lovely seafood restaurant, which is probably what's swung the balance.
Visiting windswept Ilfracombe and the lifeboat shop
Visiting Ilfracombe is always fun but when the waves are bigger it's even more fun. Some of the students got soaked by the surf but they didn't seem to mind and also visited the lifeboat shop. We had been discussing charity in class and it was good to see one way the RNLI (the Royal National Lifeboat Institution raises money and some students and teachers supported the lifeboats.

Ilfracombe/ Haunted Chambercombe Manor vlog - Summer Holidays Part 1
Hi everyone, so it’s the school holidays now and I went away with Jacob, my mum and nanny to Ilfracombe a seaside town in Devon , England... I will do this vlog in two or three parts ... the first part is going to an old manor first recorded In the doomsday book ... but older than the 11th century with lots of history and was once owned by the parents of queen of England lady Jane grey ( queen for 9 days before Mary 1st of England aka Bloody Mary ) and I had a bit of a ghostly experience there...then I chilled by the harbour before dinner... a fun day ????

Beneath the sea's surface is a magical world full of amazing wildlife, which we seldom see. Seahorses, grey seals, and corals all make their home there.
However less than 0.001% of the UK's seas are legally protected from damaging activities.
DWT and other Wildlife Trusts are campaigning for the creation of 127 Marine Conservation Zones (MCZs) across the UK, which will help protect wildlife for the future by creating marine reserves.
