Berlin has more bridges than Venice. The German capital and the surrounding state of Brandenburg together have Europe's largest network of inland waterways. Taking an excursion boat is a great way to discover the city and its history.

BERLIN'S FAMOUS DEAD - Meeting the Grimm Brothers
We went on a quest to find the Grimm brother's final resting place. We visited two of Berlin's finest cemeteries; The Old Twelve Apostle cemetery (Alter Zwölf-Apostel-Kirchhof) and the Old St. Mathew's cemetery (Alter St. -Matthäus-Kirchhof).
The Grimm brother's final resting place is atop a hill in the Old St- Mathew's cemetery in Schöneberg, Berlin.

=============================================
Oblivions lyrics:
It's almost like you’re not afraid of anything I do
How I want you here
You don't know what it's like to be around you
I still got my fear
It’s the way you say yes when I ask you to marry me
You don't know what you are doing
Do you think you can carry me over this threshold
Over and over again into oblivion?
It's the way that you're gonna stop needing to tell me
You want me as much as I want you to tell me
I'm over the threshold
Everything is gonna be totally okay into oblivion
I still got my fear
I still got my fear
It's still always you every morning I think of no matter what
How I want you here
I know I am easy to find but you know it's never me
I still got my fear
It's like a tide in the city lifts me and carries me around
And oh, my mind is made up out of nothing now
If nothing scares you about me and you, never put me down
Oh, my mind is made up out of nothing now
You won’t walk away, won’t you?
You don't walk away, don’t you?
You won't walk away, won't you?
You don't walk away, don’t you?
I still got my fear
I still got my fear
I still got my fear
I still got my fear

Dokumentation@Berlin im Sommer 1945 ✪ Doku Kanal 2017
We always have to keep in mind that a Documentary, after all, can tell lies and it can tell lies because it lays claim to a form of veracity which fiction doesn't. Some of the documentaries are made just to discredit some particular person, party, organization, system etc, but most of them here on TDF are non biased, without prejudice and worth watching.

Words and Images: Readings on Art 2018: German Expressionism and Degenerate Art
David Gariff, senior lecturer, National Gallery of Art. Germany around 1900 was a volatile contradiction—modernizing rapidly, yet deeply conservative in values. This was fertile ground for the birth of German expressionism represented by the paintings and sculptures of Ernst Barlach, Max Beckmann, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Franz Marc, Otto Müller, Emil Nolde, and others. With the rise of national socialism in the 1930s in Germany, many of these avant-garde artists and the movements of which they were a part came to be labeled “degenerate.” The recent gift of the Arnold and Joan Saltzman collection of German expressionist art has transformed the Gallery’s holdings of modern art in this area. In this lecture presented on May 4, 2018, at the National Gallery of Art, senior lecturer David Gariff explores the nature of German expressionist art against the backdrop of two important exhibitions mounted by the Nazis in 1937: The Great German Art Exhibition, on July 18, and the Entartete Kunst (Degenerate Art) exhibition, on July 19. Through these two exhibitions and their related documents and propaganda, the Nazis sought to establish and support the reputation of the approved art of the Third Reich, while at the same time to unleash a destructive “tornado” (as Hitler referred to it) against modern art.
