Peru Travel Vlog /Incas last ancient village/Ollantaytambo
Travel around Peru. Journey to NOW-HERE with Mike Satori aka Satori Cinema. Discovering last Incas villages in Ollantaytambo.
~ Journey to Nowhere - NOW & HERE. To reinvent yourself, to create your own path, to realize the immensity, eternity of your existence, to raise human consciousness ~ always do what makes you joyful, loveful and peaceful.
This place - village is called Ollantaytambo,it is a former Inca administrative center and gateway to the Antisuyo (the Amazon corner of the Inca Empire), sits at the northern end of the Sacred Valley. At the time of the Spanish invasion and conquest of Peru Ollantaytambo served as the last stronghold for Inca Manco Yupanqui, leader of the Inca resistance at the time. Nowadays the Ollantaytambo ruins and town are an important and popular tourist attraction in the Sacred Valley.
These huge terraces make up what is called the Fortress or Temple Hill. As you enter the important Temple of the Sun you will see a number of discarded large stone known as piedras cansadas, tired stones. This uncompleted temple holds the Wall of the Six Monoliths. Each of these stones weighs 50 tons and were brought from the nearby quarry.

Exploring Peru - Episode 3: The Inca Quarry Trek Begins
Finally, our endurance is put to the test. We set off to start the three-day Inca Quarry Trail. But even with the trek and adventure on our minds, there's so much to learn about the ancient people who used to walk these same paths eras ago.
Apologies for the shakiness. Turns out it's hard to juggle a camera on a trek too!
Special thanks to Intrepid Travel for your all-knowing and wonderful guides.
Also, thanks to Bradley for taking a group photo.

Megalithic Peru: Ollantaytambo: NOT Made By The Inca
Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley of Peru is one of several ancient sites solely attributed to the work of the Inca. In this video, Cusco anthropologist Theo Paredes confirms my suspicion that some of the aspects of these places, especially the megalithic works predate the Inca. An idea that most academics ignore...
Search For The Ancient Inca Quarries Of Cusco Peru
The ancient stone constructions in Cusco Peru, the Inca capital, in some cases were constructed not from local stone, but rock that was quarried from as much as 50 kilometers, or 30 miles away from the city. In this video we seek to find the evidence.

Llaqtallaqtayoq: A Little-Known Ruins in the Sacred Valley of Peru
An investigation of Llaqtallaqtayoc (aka Choquetakarpo) near Ollantaytambo in Peru's Sacred Valley. This complex is comprised of 2 sectors, which may have served as a masons' school during Inca or pre-Inca times. In addition, this site may have been an administrative center for the nearby quarry of Cachiqata, from which the massive stones found at Ollantaytambo are believed to have been sourced.

QUARRY TREK TO MACHU PICCHU 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS
Cachicata Trek to Machu Picchu
The Cachicata Trek is one of the newest trekking routes on offer in the Cusco region. Based in the area around Ollantaytambo the Cachicata trek takes you past high waterfalls, Inca ruins and beautiful scenery. The Cachicata trek is relatively easy compared to some of the others so it is a great option for less experienced trekkers. Another great thing about the trek is that hardly anyone does it so if you’re looking to get away from the crowds then this is the trek for you!
By booking your Cachicata Trek with Haku Travel you are choosing the best.

Ollantaytambo: The Mysterious 'Lazy Stones' of Peru's Megalithic Fortress
Explore Peru, Bolivia & Easter Island with Hugh Newman & Jj Ainsworth in November 2018: Subscribe here: An exploration of the enigmatic 'Lazy Stones' of Ollantaytambo, Peru. On an opposing mountaintop to the Peruvian fortress, gigantic, perfectly cut megalithic blocks line a forgotten path from the quarry to the bottom of the mountain, across a river, and up to Ollantaytambo. They are perfectly quarried, cut, and polished before they reached the final destination, but somehow were abandoned. This is evidence of advanced ancient technology. The video features David Hatcher Childress, Brien Foerster and Hugh Newman.
Also join Hugh at the Megalithomania Conference in Glastonbury, Uk on May 12th-13th 2018. Details here:

Peru. The Sacred Valley of the Incas. Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo
To this day, the word “Inca” is synonymous with goodness and justice to many Peruvians. Pride in the past of the great empire Tahuantinsuyo is cultivated in the hearts and minds of the young people of the Andes. Peruvian schoolchildren know the list of rulers of the Inca dynasty – Manco Capac, Pachacutec, Tupac Yupanqui, Huayna Capac... These names rescue from oblivion that skilful and hardworking nation, whose energy and courage are the greatest treasure of this land...
THE INCA QUARRY TRAIL
Cachicata, it is a short rout through the mountains south of Ollantaytambo while we are trekking we see impressionist variety of landscape and ecological areas, over high pass whit facing to main snows to Cusco region. Going up to a beautiful waterfall and we camp here near to incas ruin too few visited in order to cross the Chancachuco mountain pass, where we continue passing open lands until arrive to our second campsite. The last day offer us two alternative routes, taking irrigation inca canal and descending by dazzling view of the camicancha valley and Urubamba toward snow covered adoration called intipunku, to choquetacarpo the conserved residential site of the elite, and to amazing ramps and rock blocks deserted by cachicata incas quarry.
