Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
We’ve pulled inspiration from several of our favorite travel vloggers on YouTube, such as: +CaseyNeistat +FunForLouis +Jon Olsson +Mr Ben Brown , and any other talented travel vloggers that YouTube’s algorithm will hopefully connect us with ;)

Inca Rail - An amazing train journey to Machu Picchu
Inca Rail - The adventure begins from the train’s departure from the ancient village of Ollantaytambo, a gem among Inca architecture, tracing a winding route along the Vilcanota river past snow-capped peaks and verdant crops until it slowly enters the enchanted rainforest that hosts the mystical Inca citadel, Machu Picchu. Peru Rail Cusco to Machu Picchu
This feature is now available from our online shop at Spruce Studios. The 60 minute film has been professionally linked by Bob Symes and also includes 3 other Remote Railways, these are from Northern Queensland, Australia, Kuranda Scenic Railway, Sri Lanka, the Galle to Matara Branch and the Sabah State Railway from Beaufort to Tenom. Remote Railways is Priced at £16.50, including P&P
This is said to be one of the Great rail journey's of the world. Originally running between Cusco & Machu Picchu in Peru, South America, but for the last year or so, starting some 40 minutes from Cusco at the small village of Poroy. This is due to the length of the journey (4 hours, from Cusco, many tourists think this is too long in a train!!) This diesel service now takes approx 2 hours to complete the journey to the Lost City of the Inca's. The train follows the river through the Urubamba valley for much of the journey. We travel through the 1000ft gorges, the mountain peaks are dusted with snow and on this Vistadome Express are made to feel like Inca Kings & Queens. At the new main station of Machu Picchu, ( the old one in the middle of the town is now used by back packers & locals only), is in the centre of the tourist hotel area, it allows rail fans, such as us, the benefits of seeing all of the trains from the comfort of our hotel. We have managed to film some scenes in the main street, plus within the new staion and also from our hotel balcony. For more info on our other productions, please log onto sprucestudios.com. Filmed June 2009

PERU Cusco to Puno with Peru Rail
Reise mit dem Zug von Cusco nach Puno am 6. April 2005. Ticketpreis 12$ pro Person. As the train travels from Cuzco - Puno (Lake Titicaca) it makes a gentle climb to higher and cooler altitudes. The first half of the journey is dominated by the magnificent Andean mountains which tower over the deep valleys of the meandering Huatanay River. It then reaches the gentler, rolling Andean Plains, where vicuña and alpaca can be seen. The journey is broken by a scenic stop at La Raya, which is also the highest point on the route.

[Peru Rail]from Cusco to Machupicchu
Cusco's Creative Arts, Peru / Ancient Inca Civilisation, Machu Picchu
Flying into Cusco whilst the sun was shinning was amazing. Looking at all the mountains surrounding the city and the strong orange of the terracotta tiles between these mountains. Cuzco has an altitude of 3400m above sea level, so we felt the air thin straight away once we landed.
Getting to our accommodation was quite the effort carrying our multiple bags up what felt like nearly one hundred stairs in this high altitude, huffing and puffing. We stayed at the most beautiful handcrafted penthouse in San Blas, which over looked the city.
Using this comfortable two story apartment as our headquarters as we took many day trips and two nights in Aguas Calientes to explore and visit one of the most impressive ancient civilisations, Machu Picchu.
We visited Salinas de Maras a salt mine made of many different levels. Each square is owned by a local family and is mined in the dry session.
We visited many markets and were explained how the alpaca wool is naturally coloured with barks, leaves and cacti with a very enthusiastic little girl stealing the show.
Deciding on the Bus from Cuzco to Hidroeléctrica, five hours of scenic landscape and heart skipping moments. Then a two and a half hour hike along the train lines to the Aguas Calientes. We had previously booked the 12.00 till 5.00pm time slot to see Machu Picchu the next day. Plenty of time to rest our tired legs ready for another hike.
The hike up to Machu Picchu was full of high energy, excited to arrive. Once up the top and at the entrance, hundreds of people finishing and more starting their experience ate their lunch keeping it away from the waiting street dogs.
First impression on seeing this ancient city was total amazement that such a civilisation can be built high in the Andes some 1700m above a rapid flowing river. Growing their own food and not having to ascend. The power and energy felt here was powerful and now we could feel high and enlightened. Machu Picchu was apparently located there for multiple reasons but one that stuck in my mind was the rising and setting of the sun, when viewed from specific locations within Machu Picchu. The sun would align neatly with religiously significant mountains during the solstices and equinoxes. The Inca believed the sun to be their ancestor. Astrology was used as the Incas calendar. Knowing where the sun is setting and rising told them when to plant there crops, gave them forecast information about there future. That is why there was not a fight when the Spanish invaded, the Incas knew it was coming and thought it was apart of their destiny.
We also learnt that it is sacred to jump. As we were made to delete some photos of myself holding Raquel off the ground.
When returning from Machu Picchu we decided to feel the reason it was called Aguas Calientes (Hot Water). Dipping ourselves into the supposed natural hot baths, which seemed more like a ses pool, not keen on putting our heads under the water.
