Ny vanim-potoan’ny Pâska dia fotoana iray nandresen’ny Tompo ny fahafatesana, izany hoe taorian’ny fahoriana nentiny izay niafara tamin’ny fahafatesany dia nitsangana izy tamin’ny andro fahatelo. Izany no hatao hoe Paska.
Noho izany dia fety ho an’ny Kristiana rehetra ny Paska noho izay fandresen’ny Tompo ny fahafatesana izay. Fa fetin’ny ankizy ihany koa satria sady tafiditra ao anatin’ny fialan-tsasatra tanteraka ny mpianatra no efa manakaiky ny volana Jiona izay volan’ny ankizy.
Ny “Happy Pâques” dia toerana hampifaliana ny ankizy rehetra tsy ankanavaka. Amin’ity fetin’ny Paska ity dia etsy amin’ny lalambenAnalakely no ahitana azy ity miaraka amin’ny lalao marobe.
Tsy mifidy sala-taona moa ireto kilalao eto ireto ary tsy mifarana raha tsy amin’ny 17 Aprily ho avy izao ho an’ireo izay te hiala-voly sy hampifalifaly ny ankizy.

During these school holidays, Malagasy families, whether rich or poor, must take care of the leisure activities of their offspring. Those who are well-off go to Antsirabe or to the beaches of Ambila Lemaitso or the lake Mantasoa while for the simple people they must fill the desires of the children by going to the Fair carnival on the Avenue of Independence in Analakely Antananarivo .
These Paschal festivals are also moments of joys and pleasures shared between parents and children or friends. It is giving oneself time to rest a few days before confronting again the difficulties of everyday life.
In Madagascar, country of « Moramora », we are still privileged because the majority of people still enjoy these holidays as Easter Monday or Pentecost Monday while in Europe these are no longer days off !

STORYLINE:
In Madagascar a power struggle that started on January 26th ended with coup that installed a new president. More than 170 people were killed during the struggle. Andry Rajoelina was inaugurated as the new president on March 21st after outgoing president Marc Ravalomanana lost the support of the military.
On March 13th an army faction that has said it will no longer obey Madagascar's leader announced that it has taken control of army tanks, but denied rumours that it plans to attack the presidential palace.
Colonel Noel Rakotonandrasana, spokesman for the group, told The Associated Press that an unspecified number of tanks were moved overnight to barracks where they are needed.
Rakotonandrasana would not elaborate.
While the faction has rejected President Marc Ravalomanana, it has not explicitly supported his rival, Andry Rajoelina.
Clashes continued after the inauguration and on March 29th thirty-four people were injured in Madagascar's capital, as police broke up an opposition demonstration by shooting into the air and using tear gas.
The demonstrators, supporters of Madagascar's ousted President Marc Ravalomanana, had tried to converge on a central square in Antananarivo where the president's rival, Andry Rajoelina, had held protests in recent months.
A melee followed the break-up of the demonstration.

MADAGASCAR FIRST INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION - NO SOUND
Madagascar, is a large island off the east coast of Africa from which it is separated by Mozanbique Channel (240 miles wide at its narrowest part). It is about 980 miles long and 360 miles wide at its greatest breadth, with a population of 5,000,000. Madagascar, which came under a French Protectorate in 1885 and was declared a French colony in 1896, became independent last year. On July 30th, Madagascar celebrated the first year of its independence and 72 delegations from all over the world paid friendship visits to President Tsiranana, at his official residence in Tananarive. The French delegation included Premier Debre and the Russian delegation was led by Alexandre Petrovitch Volkov. To commemorate this first ceremony of independence a monument was inaugurated by President Tsiranana in the presence of the visitors and a big crowd of natives.

Lake Anosy, Antananarivo, Madagascar
An artificial lake in the southern part of the capital city of Madagascar, Antananarivo, about two miles south of Haute-Ville. A swamp was replaced with Lake Anosy during the era of the ruler Radama I. The lake was constructed by James Cameron who gave it a shape of a heart. In the middle of the lake there is an island connected with the city by an isthmus. On the island there is a French-built memorial to those fallen in the first world war, the Monument aux Morts made by sculptor Barberis and architect Perrin in 1927. In the Radama I era there was a gunpowder factory on the island. Later there was built a summer residence for the Queen Ranavalona I. Jacaranda trees that flower in Oct/Nov are planted around it. On the national independence day, June 26, an annual firework festival is arranged on the lake.

Nisavoritaka tanteraka ny teny amin’ny fitsarana, ny mpirakidraharaha dia nitokona satria misy ny tsy fanatanterahan’ny fanjakana izay lazain’izy ireo hoe ny fampiakarana grady ireo mpirakidraharaha izay efa niasa an-taonany maro, ao ihany koa ny tsy fanajan’ny ankolafin-kery hafa ato amin’ny fitsarana toy ny mpiandry fonja izay manao ny asan’izy ireo ka misalovana azy ireo amin’ny asany. Ankilany, ny mpitsara, izay mitokona ihany koa nohon’ny tsy fisian’ny tany tan-dalàna eto Madagasikara, izany moa dia taorian’ilay disadisa nisy teo amin’ny mpitsara sy ny zandary tany toamasina ary ny raharaha Claudine Razaimamonjy.
Nihitsoka tanteraka noho izany ny raharaha teny anivon’ny fitsarana. Betsaka ireo olona manana antontan-taratasy karakaraina eny no miverim-potsiny. Ny resaka fitsarana moa dia miveri-maina ireo gadra satria na ny mpitsara na ny mpitsara mpanampy izay mpirakidraharaha matetika dia mitokona avokoa.
Mahatsiaro ho lasa takalon’aina tanteraka ny vahoaka Malagasy noho izao zava misy izao satria misy ireo avy lavitra no tonga ety amin’ny fitsarana hikarakara antontan-taratasy dia voatery miverina indray. Mbola tsy fantatra aloa hatreto ny fotoana hisokafan’ny fitsarana ary dia mbola miandry ny rehetra.
Taorian’ilay hetsika nataon’ny Sendika ny mpitsara eto Madagasikara izay efa nivaly ny iray amin’ny fangatahan’izy ireo dia ny nandefasana an’Rtoa Claudine Razaimamonjy eny Antanimora, dia mbola manohy ny fitokonany hatrany ireo mpiraki-draharaha ato amin’ny Fitsarana. Manoloana ireo fitakian’ireto mpiraki-draharaha ireto mantsy dia nisy ny fihaonana teo amin’izy ireo sy ny Praiminisitra lehiben’ny Governemanta Mahafaly Solonandrasana Olivier.
Tsy nisy nipiaka ny resaka fa tsy voavaly ny fangatahan’ireto mpiraki-draharaha ireto. Nitohy noho izany ny fitokonana ka niroso tamin’ny fanidiana tanteraka ny lapan’ny Fitsarana ireto mpiraki-draharaha ireto.
Tsy misy olona mahazo miditra ato amin’ny Fitsarana Anosy na dia hikarakara fanamarinana nahaterahana fotsiny aza. Manginy fotsiny ireo raharaham-pitsarana tokony handeha izay voatery hahemotra amin’ny fotoana tsy mbola fantatra. Ireo olona tonga tety moa dia nitaraina avokoa noho izao fitokonana’ny mpiraki-draharaha izao satria tsy vitsy amin’izy ireto no avy lavitra no miakatra eto an-drenivohitra kanefa dia voatery mody indray anefa ny fotoana hisokafan’ny fitsarana tsy mbola fantatra.
Araky ny fanambaran’ireto mpiraki-draharaha ireto moa dia tsy hiverina hiasa mihitsy izy ireto raha tsy voavaly avokoa ny fitakian’izy ireo izay mbola andrasana fotoana hiresahany amin’ny Praiministra.

For a few weeks now, Madagascar’s courts have been in turmoil. Between the demands of advancement of career of the clerks and the demands of independence of the magistrates, the Madagascans are taken in vices in their quests of justice.
Initially, it was the tug of war between the Government and the Malagasy Magistrates’ Union (SMM) in the Claudine Razaimamonjy affair, which led to days of indignation and the blocking of the entire judicial machinery before ending with the Detention of the latter.
Then there were the clerks, who prevented all hearings from being resumed, and thus made it impossible for judges to work and for inmates to be tried. The meeting with the Prime Minister made it possible to remove the situation, but the clerks still say they are mobilized.

STORYLINE
Madagascar's rival politicians held simultaneous rallies in the capital on Saturday, despite calls from diplomats and religious leaders to suspend such shows of strength in order to calm tensions and allow negotiations a chance to work.
At his rally Saturday, opposition leader Andry Rajoelina claimed he would start putting his own government in place on Monday, and he repeated calls on the president to step down.
He accused President Marc Ravalomanana of misspending funds and has said the president is responsible for the deaths of civilians last week.
Rajoelina drew about 10-thousand people.
About 35-thousand attended a pro-government rally at Antananarivo's Mahamasina National stadium.
Addressing the rally, Ravalomanana promised to order a special, international investigation into the events of February 7, during which police fired at thousands of opposition supporters marching toward a presidential palace, killing at least 25.
Saturday's events ended at about the same time; no violence was immediately reported, but people in the crowds going home could be heard exchanging insults.
Security had been visibly heightened in the streets of Antananarivo.
In late January, protests by opposition supporters sparked riots and looting sprees that left dozens dead.
Within days of last week's violence, Madagascar's defence minister had resigned and the president replaced the army chief, signs of cracks in the president's support base.
But it's far from clear Rajoelina has the power to force out Ravalomanana.
The two camps began talks Wednesday mediated by religious leaders and diplomats who had urged them to call off demonstrations.
The country's council of Catholic bishops released a statement Friday thanking those who have called for calm and tried to mediate, but saying provocations and threats continued to be heard, particularly on radio and TV - both Rajoelina and Ravalomanana have their own broadcast stations.
Low-level fighting split the country between two governments, two capitals and two presidents in 2001, after both Ravalomanana and former President Didier Ratsiraka claimed the presidency after a disputed election.
Ratsiraka fled to France in June 2002.
