Independence Hall - Tel Aviv
Independence Hall or known as Beit Haatzmaut is housed in one of Tel-Aviv’s first buildings, on the plot of land on which the drawing of lots took place (April, 1909).
This specific plot of land was drawn by the city’s first mayor, Meir Dizengoff. In 1930, after the death of his wife Zina,
Dizengoff founded an art museum in his home in her memory and opened it to the public in 1932. Four years later he initiated a wide-ranging renovation of the building, orchestrated by architect Carl Rubin. The building served as the Tel-Aviv Museum until 1971, when it moved to its new premises. location.

Nakba/Independence Day action at Zionist 'Independence Hall', Rothschild Blvd Tel-Aviv, 15 Apr 2013
Nakba/Independence Day action, April 15th 2013, distributing newly printed maps depicting the Palestinian villages layered over current-day roads and places of residence.
The map was placed at the Zionist 'Independence Hall' on Rothschild Boulevard ( A patriotic tour at the place ended with the singing of Ha'tikva, the supremacist anthem of the ethnic-supremacist state.

An interesting museum located on Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv, Israel which contains the room where formally the Declaration of the Establishment of the State of Israel, was proclaimed on 14 May 1948. Visitors can see this room which has been restored much to how it looked then and also watch a video about it in another room.

In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

Say farewell to Jerusalem today, and head for Tel Aviv, beginning with Old Jaffa, where you can wander the restored old lanes lined with galleries and shops.
Stop in at the Visitor Center, which showcases the long and fascinating history of this port city to which Solomon brought the cedar wood from Lebanon to build the Temple and from which Jonah set sail to be swallowed by the whale. See St. Peter's Church, recalling Peter's famous vision on the rooftop of Simon the Tanner. There's also a great view of Tel Aviv from here, to whet your appetite for your next stops.
Tour Tel Aviv's White City to see the preservation of buildings of Bauhaus architecture (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) including Independence Hall, where Ben-Gurion declared independence in 1948. Sheinkin Street is famous for its fun shopping, dining and people-watching in a youthful atmosphere, while the open-air Carmel fruit and vegetable market is a treat for all the senses.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, the Nahalat Binyamin pedestrian mall comes alive with stalls selling handicrafts of every type.
Art buffs will enjoy the Tel Aviv Art Museum, with its fascinating changing and permanent exhibits of contemporary Israeli art, French Modernist and other collections.
Then, from the 49th floor of the Azrieli Tower, the Azrieli Observatory offers an incomparable view of Tel Aviv and miles beyond in every direction, great any time of day and fabulous at sunset.
Take a walk through Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park and head to the nearby Tel Aviv Port for sunset and a fish dinner.

Pastor Chris visits the Palmach museum in Tel Aviv in Israel 11.5.18 – Day Two
On Friday the 11th of May, Pastor Chris began his day in appropriate fashion, visiting the Herzl museum, dedicated to the founder of the Zionist movement, Theodore Herzl. Following the museum’s visit, the Pastor was then guided to the Palmach museum in Tel Aviv, which honors the Elie Fighting Force of the Hagana, which was an underground military organization. The Pastor reported that he was incredibly moved by the heroic achievements of both groups of individuals who fought for their religion and the existence of their Land. This was an inspiring experience for the Pastor, has he been reminded of the importance of having strong faith.

HOT FUN IN THE FIRST HEBREW CITY! ARRIVING IN TEL-AVIV AND JAFFA
The bloggers began their first day in Tel Aviv with a tour of Independence Hall by Once in a Lifetime team member Michael Anisfeld. Next, tour guide Helena took Sun, Chas, Dan and Ryan to the Old City of Jaffa and Tel Aviv's authentic flea market. The group was exposed to Israel's artistic side when taken to the Ilana Goor Museum, where many of the world-renowned artist's sculptures are displayed. The day's tours came to an end with a trip to Tel Aviv's 'Tahana Site,' where the four enjoyed cold beer and laughter. A scrumptious dinner at Tapas Bar Ehad Ha'am brought the bloggers' first night in Tel Aviv to an unfortunate end.
