Shimla City Tour Drive India - Kufri, Mall Road, Jakhu *HD*
Shimla, India: The video shows the popular tourist attractions of Shimla - Mall Road, Jakhu Temple, Kufri, Toy Train. It also captures the scenic panoramic beauty of the wonderful hill station by a drive through city towards Kufri route.
Shimla , Simla, is the capital city of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, located in northern India. Shimla acts as a hub for India's tourism sector.
In 1864, Shimla was officially designated the summer capital of British India, succeeding Murree, northeast of Rawalpindi. After independence, Lahore was given to Pakistan and Shimla became the capital of Punjab and was later the capital of Himachal Pradesh.
After reorganisation, the Mahasu district and its major portion was merged with Shimla. Its name is derived from the goddess Shyamala Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu goddess Kali. Shimla historically contained the 19 hill states of Baghal, Baghat, Balsan, Bashahr, Bhajji, Bija, Darkoti, Dhami, Jubal, Keonthal, Kumharsain, Kunihar, Kuthar, Mahlog, Mangal, Nalagarh (Hindur), Sangri and Tharoch.
Shimla is home to a number of colleges and research institutions as well as multiple temples and palaces. The city's buildings are styled in the Tudorbethan and neo-Gothic architectures dating from the colonial era.
Owing to its steep terrain, Shimla hosts the mountain biking race MTB Himalaya, which started in 2005 and is regarded as the biggest event of its kind in South Asia

Laxmi Vilas Palace - Vadodara Gujarat, India
Laxmi Vilas Palace, located in Gujarat, India, is the largest private dwelling, which is 4 times the size of Buckingham palace. Built in 1890, by Maharaja Sayaji rao the third, its named after his wife, Laxmi Bai. With 170 rooms, it took twelve years and 180 thousand Pounds to build it, making it the costliest palace of its times.
A good blend, of both local and foreign materials and workmanship, was used in the construction of the palace. Red sandstone from Agra, blue trapstone from Poona and marbles of Rajasthan and Italy. #LaxmiVillasPalace
The palace front & main porch is grand with several sculptures built in Bronze, Marble & terracotta made by famous Italian artist Fellici. The Carvings on the wall are fine, beautiful & a sight to behold.
The palace compound occupies a spacious 700 acres and also houses Moti Baug palace and Maharaja Fateh singh museum.
The Palace has 3 sections - Ladies quarter in right, main wing for Maharaja in center and Public Area in Left side. The public area is open for visits and an audio guided tour is also available for tourists.
It’s surprising to see that even in those times the palace was built with all the modern amenities like elevators, western plumbing, electric bells, internal telephone systems.
Today the palace stands not only as the symbol of royalty and grandeur, but also as the amazing blend of heritage and futuristic thinking.

After making our delicious Chicken On Barbecue and Meat Burger:
we started travelling for food to Agra.
This was our day out in Agra Uttar Pradesh, and it was another excellent day. One of the best things we did in Agra besides visiting the Heritage Site, Taj Mahal was to relax and enjoy unlimited buffet at 4 Star Hotel Taj Resorts.
We took an Executive Suite for our self.
Hotel Taj Resorts 4 Stars Hotel in Agra, India Within US Travel Directory One of our top picks in Agra. Hotel Taj Resorts is situated 500 m from UNESCO Heritage Site, Taj Mahal.
Guests can enjoy relaxing at its rooftop pool.Hotel Taj is located 5 km from Agra City Railway Station. Rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. A Godrej safety deposit box inside the wardrobe and mini bar are also provided. Private bathrooms come with toiletries provided. Bon Appétit multi-cuisine restaurant offers a variety of international dishes. 24-hour room service is available.
REVIEW:
The room service was really very bad had to call multiple times in order to get water to drink so imagine rest.
Coming on to buffet breakfast.
As there are people from foreign countries so the menu is really good also keeping Indian breakfast in mind.
1)Chocos/Cornflakes with hot/normal milk and a a glass of orange juice and Tea/Coffee is good enough.
2) Porridge is a food commonly eaten as a breakfast cereal dish, made by boiling ground, crushed or chopped starchy plants—typically grain—in water or milk. (Was ok to try some thing new)
3) Medu vada , sambar | Poori bhaji | and Pickles
Normal taste nothing new or exciting
4) In fruits they provide fresh Papaya and banana
5) Muffin - This is a must be eaten thing i really liked it
6) Grilled tomatoes (No taste at all, grilled tomatoes with cheese and seasoning taste better but this was waste)
7) French toast with Honey on it and Boiled Eggs: Perfect french toast with honey and boiled eggs made my day!
8)Chicken Sausages: Finally something to fill my hunger was Chicken Sausages (Juicy and sober)
9)Bread/brown bread with butter, jam and a toaster to enjoy as needed
It was another fantastic day in Agra, enjoying the food at Agra, and visiting Taj Mahal,Agra Fort ,local markets and buying Cholcate/Sandwich/pan Petha (Sweet dish) .

Haridwar is the gateway to the four pilgrimages (Char Dham Yatra) of Uttarakhand. Haridwar is an important pilgrimage city and municipality in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, India. The River Ganges, after flowing for 253 kilometres (157 miles) from its source at Gaumukh at the edge of the Gangotri Glacier, enters the Indo-Gangetic Plains of North India for the first time at Haridwar, which gave the city its ancient name, Gangadwára.
Haridwar is regarded as one of the seven holiest places to Hindus. According to the Samudra manthan, Haridwar along with Ujjain, Nasik and Allahabad is one of four sites where drops of Amrit, the elixir of immortality, accidentally spilled over from the pitcher while being carried by the celestial bird Garuda. This is manifested in the Kumbha Mela is celebrated every 3 years in one of the 4 places, and thus every 12 years in Haridwar. Amidst the Kumbha Mela, millions of pilgrims, devotees, and tourists congregate in Haridwar to perform ritualistic bathing on the banks of the river Ganges to wash away their sins to attain Moksha. Brahma Kund, the spot where the Amrit fell, is located at Har ki Pauri (literally, footsteps of the Lord) and is considered to be the most sacred ghat of Haridwar.
Rishikesh is a small town near the holy city of Haridwar, famous for being a spiritual getaway and a hub for adventure sports like white water rafting, cliff diving, rock climbing and many other such heart-pumping activities. But the one thing that it is the most famous for is the white water rafting on the rapids of the river Ganga. Jaipur city full view 2019
Jaipur is the largest city in Rajasthan and was built in the eighteenth century by Sawai Jai Singh as India's first planned city. Jaipur is a major tourist attraction amongst Indian as well as international travelers. It belongs to the tourist Golden Triangle of Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra. It hosts several attractions like the City Palace, Govind Dev Ji Temple, Vidhan Sabha, Birla Temple, several massive Rajput forts and so on. It also serves as a stepping stone for travelers heading to the desert cities of Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. Now Jaipur is growing fast and various development projects are being undertaken by the government and private enterprises. The town planning and infrastructure development in Jaipur are quite above the mark relative to many other Indian cities. Jaipur is often called the Pink City in reference to its distinctly colored buildings, which were originally painted this color to imitate the red sandstone architecture of Maugham cities. The present earthy red color originates from repainting of the buildings undertaken for a visit by the Prince of Wales in 1876. #jaipur #jaipurcity Song: Fredji - Happy Life (Vlog No Copyright Music) Music provided by Vlog No Copyright Music. My Daily Life in the SLUMS OF MUMBAI (Life-Changing 5 Days)
Learn how I started traveling full-time at 19:
Catch me and meet me during my travels:
Free $34 AirBnb credit for your next trip:
Two and a half years ago, during my first visit in India, I spent 2 days walking all around the slums of Mumbai. Even though I got to learn quite a bit about the life in the slums, I didn’t have the chance to live inside the slums and because of that I left with more questions than answers.
So now that I came back to India for the second time, I decided to go back to Mumbai and spend five days living in Dharavi, which is one of the largest slums in the world.
This experience opened my eyes in ways I couldn’t have imagined, because I got to spend so much time with the local people, who completely transformed my outlook on what their lives were like.
You see, as most outsiders, I had a very distorted view of the people of the slums. We grow up hearing stories about them dying on the streets, no one being able to read and write, kids having to sleep surrounded by flesh-eating rats and so on.
There are, of course, tons of problems that need to be addressed, especially when it comes to sanitation. For example, sources say that in Dharavi there is an average of 1 toilet for a thousand people. Also, livestock generally lives in the same quarters with people and that, combined with the fact that the local water sources lack cleaning facilities, sometimes causes the spread of contagious diseases.
However, people there are just like everywhere else. They have their own dreams, goals, careers, thoughts and emotions. They are in no way different from the rest of us.
It doesn’t matter where we come from. We are all equal. Some of us are born with golden spoons in our mouths, others are not. But that doesn’t define us. What defines us is our pursuit of happiness, our compassion for others and our ability to adapt to whatever circumstances we’re in and make the best of them.

गोवाका अगोड़ा किला Agoda Fort Goa
Agoda Fort Goa
Fort Aguada and its lighthouse is a well-preserved seventeenth-century Portuguese fort standing in Goa, India, on Sinquerim Beach, overlooking the Arabian Sea.
The fort was constructed in 1612 to guard against the Dutch and the Marathas. It was a reference point for the vessels coming from Europe at that time. This old Portuguese fort stands on the beach south of Candolim, at the shore of the Mandovi River. It was initially tasked with defense of shipping and the nearby Bardez sub district.
A freshwater spring within the fort provided water supply to the ships that used to stop by. This is how the fort got its name: Aguada, meaning Water. Crews of passing ships would often visit to replenish their fresh water stores. On the fort stands a four-storey Portuguese lighthouse, erected in 1864 and the oldest of its kind in Asia. Built in 1612, it was once the grandstand of 79 cannons. It has the capacity of storing 2,376,000 gallons of water, one of the biggest freshwater storages of the time in whole of Asia. This fort is divided in two segments: the upper part acted as fort and watering station, while the lower part served as a safe berth for Portuguese ships. Whereas the upper part has a moat, underground water storage chamber, gunpowder room, light house and bastions, it also has a secret escape passage to use during time of war and emergency. The lighthouse at initial stage is used to emit light once in 7 minutes. In 1834 it was changed to emit light creating eclipse every 30 seconds, however it was abandoned in 1976.
Fort Aguada was the most prized and crucial fort of Portuguese. The fort is so large that it envelops the entire peninsula at the south western tip of Bardez. Built on the mouth of river Mandovi, it was strategically located and was the chief defence of Portuguese against the Dutch and Marathas.
During the Salazar Administration, Fort Aguada was repurposed for use as a prison primarily, some claim, for Salazar's political opponents
Renamed as The Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa, Goa, this five-star-rated hotel, owned by the Tata Group, is part of an 88-acre (360,000 m2) complex overlooking the Arabian Sea is situated on Sinquerim Beach.
