Diving Pinnacle in Gordon's Bay, Cape Town, South Africa
Des and Jaco dive Pinnacle in Gordon's Bay with Indigo Scuba Diving Centre!
This is a beautiful dive site with lots of colour - soft sponges, sea anemones, sea fans, nudibranchs, lacy corals and fish such as shy sharks, hottentot, fransmadam, red roman, galjoen and many juvenile fish hiding amongst the rocks. Divers are usually visited by playful and inquisitive seals throughout the dive.
Best dived in summer (September - April) after a South Easterly wind has been blowing and reached by dive boat. Contact Indigo Scuba to book yourself onto a dive at Pinnacle. info@indigoscuba.com

Indigo Scuba dives the beautiful Pie Rock dive site in Simon's Town (Cape Town, South Africa). This is a reef just offshore from Castle Rock and is covered with a huge amount of marine life - including feather stars, sea fans, pink strawberry anemones, red-chested sea cucumbers, sea urchins. There is also a lot of fish life at this dive site, with huge Red Romans, large schools of Hottentot and Pyjama Sharks swimming in the gullies. Not dived often, this is an unspoilt and beautiful reef.

They were joined by a number of juvenile seals who popped in to check them out. The colours on this reef are really brilliant - oranges, reds, purples and pinks and the divers spotted many beautiful sponges, sea fans, a large common cuttlefish, a baby cuttlefish and lots of hottentot, fransmadam and kolsterts.
Our First Sea Dives With Indigo Scuba
Carlene, Sune, Victoria and Fay have fun at Balcony in Rooi Els during their first sea dives with Indigo Scuba. Although the visibility wasn't so great (about 4 metres), they had fun practicing their buoyancy and doing their skills in the ocean for the first time.

Chandre, Mark and Eckhard's first Open Water Dives
In this video, Chandre, Mark and Eckhard do their first sea dives in Gordon's Bay with Indigo Scuba.
Despite visibility not being great - clear on the surface and poor at the bottom, they managed to complete their open water skills and spot some interesting marine life...
This could also be classified as our first ever rock video.

Steenbras Deep Dive in Gordon's Bay
I did a 30 meter Deep dive in Gordon's Bay near Cape Town as part of the Aqualung Funday dive festival. Our group was put together by Oceaus Scuba and brilliantly managed and lead by MSDT Instructor Johan Charlier.
After a bumpy 11 km boat ride we descended 28 meters into clear but very green dark water . We had 3 Instructors , Including myself , 1 Divemaster and two Advanced divers who set a new personal depth record!
I tagged along at the back filming with my GoPro and Polar Pro Magenta filter
