Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip garden, previously Model Floriculture Center, is a tulip garden in Srinagar, India. It is the largest tulip garden in Asia spread over an area of about 30 hectares. It is situated on the foothills of Zabarwan Range with an overview of Dal Lake. The garden was opened in 2007 with the aim to boost floriculture and tourism in Kashmir Valley.
The garden is built on a sloping ground in a terraced fashion consisting of seven terraces. Apart from tulips, many other species of flowers - hyacinths, daffodils and ranunculus have been added as well.
Tulip festival is an annual celebration that aims to showcase the range of flowers in the garden as a part of tourism efforts by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. It is organized during the onset of spring season in Kashmir valley. In 2017, the Tulip Festival is being organized for 15 days from 1 to 15 April.

Asia's largest Tulip Garden attracts tourists in Kashmir Valley. A large number of tourists thronged the garden to catch a glimpse of tulips seen in full bloom. The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, located in the foothills of the Zabarwan hill in Srinagar, overlooks the famous Dal Lake. Nearly 12.5 million tulips are enhancing the beauty of Kashmir which is known as paradise of earth. After the opening of tulip garden the tourists influx is increasing gradually in Valley which results the lakhs of colorful tulip flowers attract tourists to spend some time in this world famous garden. This tulip garden has been open for visitors on 25th of March and within a week tourists are visiting in garden at large scale.

The stay was pleasant in Kashmir ,the hotel was Royal Heritage
booking etc was done by agent .Neat ,hygienic and moreover the food that i was worried about was simply amazing.The chef was also friendly and even took my out of the menu requests at times :P
So here is trip about tulip gardens,Srinagar.Tulip garden is said to be Asia's Biggest tulip garden .It was a pure bliss to see those beautiful rainbow colored tulips ..

The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, located in the foothills of the Zabarwan hill in Srinagar, overlooks the famous Dal Lake. ভারতের শ্রীনগরে এশিয়ার সবচেয়ে বড় টিউলিপের বাগান । জাবারওয়ান পাহাড়ে ‘ইন্দিরা গান্ধি মেমোরিয়াল টিউলিপ বাগান’ । যেটির সৌন্দর্য পেছনে ফেলেছে ডাল লেককেও। স্থানীয়ভাবে এটি ‘সিরাজ বাগ’ নামেও পরিচিত। দর্শনার্থীদের আকৃষ্ট করতে এবার সৌন্দর্য্য বর্ধনের জন্য নেয়া হয়েছে বেশ কিছু উদ্যোগ। বাড়ানো হচ্ছে বাগানের পরিধিও। দর্শনার্থীরা যেন বসে কিছুক্ষণ সময় কাটাতে পারেন, সেজন্য তৈরি করা হয়েছে বসার জায়গাও।
শ্রীনগরের ফ্লোরিকালচার কর্মকর্তা আলতাফ আহমেদ বলেন, প্রতিবছর পর্যটকদের নতুন কিছু দেওয়াই আমাদের লক্ষ্য। আর এবছর আমরা বাগানের পাশে পর্যটকদের বসার ব্যবস্থা করেছি। বসন্তকে সামনে রেখে আমরা নতুন অনেক চারা রোপণ করেছি।
বৈরি আবহাওয়া কিংবা অতিরিক্ত সূর্যের তাপে বাগানের যেন ক্ষতি না হয়, সেজন্য কর্মচারীরা গ্রিনহাউজ শেড তৈরিতে ব্যস্ত। আর এবছর ৪৬ ধরনের অন্তত ২০ লাখ টিউলিপ ফুল ফোটানোর লক্ষ্য রয়েছে বাগান কর্তৃপক্ষের। এপ্রিলে ফুলে ফুলে ছেয়ে যায় পুরো বাগান।
টিউলিপের বয়সকাল ৩ থেকে ৪ সপ্তাহ। মুষলধারে বৃষ্টি বা তুষারপাতে অনেকসময়ই নষ্ট হয়ে যায় টিউলিপ। হল্যান্ডের টিউলিপ গার্ডেনের সঙ্গে তুলনা করেন অনেক পর্যটক। সত্যিই ভূস্বর্গই বটে।
