Ingleborough Cave - The Show Cave of the Yorkshire Dales
Ingleborough Cave, first entered and made accessible in 1837, is one of the Yorkshire Dales finest examples of limestone scenery. A well lit concrete footpath leads you past huge stalactites, stalagmites and flowstones. Visitors are lead by our expert guides through a kilometre of awe-inspiring passages that are brought to life by formations and artefacts dating back millions of years! The Cave also shows the significant impact of the Ice Age, and as recently as 2002 the tooth of a woolly rhinoceros, now long extinct, was discovered just beyond the show cave.
Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail to Clapham Cave
A walk through Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail to Ingleborough Cave. Novelist John Seaton used Ingleborough Hall Estate and our adventures in the old days as the background for his MI6 spy thriller The Seal of Henry Stuart. His other books were all based around Clapham, the Estate and Cave, and Ingleton Cafe (Got to Bernies), but book 4 got shredded when his ex-bosses weren't amused with his revelations ... LOL

Thursday Oldies Club with Bob Jarman at Ingleborough Cave
The Thursday Club are the guests of Bob Jarman at Ingleborough Cave. We were once members of the Happy Wanderers in 1956/57 and he points out a memory of our visit to the cave over 50 years ago. Oh the shame .. LOL. Lots of this video has been edited to protect the guilty ... LOL. As members of the Black Rose Pothole Club we were much more respectable. Oh come on, if you believe that you will believe anything ...LOL. Thanks for the memories Bob, we made you an honorary member of the Thursday Club for the day but we won't tell anybody ... LOL.

Gaping Gill Cave, Clapham, Yorkshire Dales National Park. England. Bradford Pothole Club
Gaping Gill Cave, Clapham, Yorkshire, Dales National Park, England. Bradford Pothole Club will hold the next event between 26th May - 1st June 2018. It's set up and manned by expert volunteers who give up their time willingly for the likes of you and I. You have to wait your turn but it's in a beautiful area so you may have time to go up Ingleborough with amazing views from the top. It's best to wear good outdoor clothing and decent footwear because it can be cold. I always have a packed lunch and a flask with me, you may wish to do the same.
Thursday Club Walk - Clapham Cave to Gaping Gill Hole
After a fantastic trip down Ingleborough (Clapham) Cave we head up to Gaping Gill Hole where the water in this system first goes underground and then we return via Trow Gill. I wish to register an official complaint about the ungentlemanly behaviour of John and Pete who fell off a stile and used me as a boulder mat. That's a cushion for idiots who fall off while climbing boulders. Senile old codgers should not be allowed out without their nannies.
