Inglis Falls, Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada
One of three waterfalls that surround the city of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, Inglis Falls is the best known and most visited. Situated in the heart of the 200-hectare Inglis Falls Conservation Area, Inglis Falls is an 18-metre high cascade, created by the Sydenham River meeting the edge of the Niagara Escarpment.
The water over the falls used to be partially diverted for hydro electric power generation, grain milling, and Owen Sound drinking water.

Inglis Falls in Owen Sound, Ontario
On June 7, 2018, we published an updated, and much more detailed video of Inglis Falls - take a look at it here:
Inglis Falls is located within the Inglis Falls Conservation Area to the south of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada on the Sydenham River. The waterfall is about 55 feet high. Shortly after, the water empties into Georgian Bay.
This a dayuse park with no camping and minimal services. There is a fee to enter by car, a reasonable $6 per vehicle for parking. The Bruce Trail runs through the park and down the west side of the waterfall.
Unfortunately, views of the waterfall are somewhat limited by the conservation authority and the base of Inglis Falls is not officially accessible.
This is one of many waterfalls located along the Niagara Escarpment.
Inglis Falls in Owen Sound, Ontario (June, 2018)
Inglis Falls results from the Sydenham River falling over the Niagara Escarpment, just southwest from the centre of Owen Sound, Ontario. The waterfall is within the boundaries of the Inglis Falls Conservation Area and stands 18 metres or 59 feet in height.
It should be noted that this is one of two Sydenham Rivers in Ontario. The other is located further to the southwest and empties into lake St. Clair. This river travels through Owen Sound and shortly after empties into Georgian Bay.
It also should be noted that there is a $6 fee per vehicle to park at this location. Grey Sauble Conservation has started a new 'pay by smartphone' system. This is a bit flawed. If you went to more than one of their parks in a single day, you would have to pay at each one. The $41 seasonal fee is great but it is tagged to one license plate. Therefore, if you have more than one vehicle, you must always use the one in order to use the season's pass.

Hiking Inglis Falls and Owen Sound Skatepark Tour
Lots went wrong on a day trip to Owen Sound, including having to drive out of the way to go to a bank machine, injuring myself in the first 2 minutes of riding and more.. Still somehow managed to find the exact waterfall I remembered going to despite not knowing a name for it (Inglis Falls is the name). Turned out to be an amazing trail system where you can go different distances depending how long of a loop you want to travel. Went back to the skatepark for a mini session after the hike and turned the day around. Also I finally rode my new wheels on my blades and couldn't believe how fast they were, causing a bunch of near-misses.
