Inhaca Island is a subtropical island of Mozambique. The island was part of the Portuguese Colony of Mozambique, and occupied by the British until 1975. The British used this island, amongst others, to monitor the slave traffic in the area.
35 Km far from Maputo City. Fast Boat can arrive to Island around 60 - 90 Minutes. Nice view than ponta do ouro. Foods , drinks and accommodation are can buy reasonable price. Perfect Place to Enjoy the Day or Holiday.

Inhaca is a small island off Maputo Mozambique. The island makes up a big part of Maputo Bay. Most people on Inhaca are fishermen and sell the fish to the closeby capital (Maputo) The landscape varies drastically with mangrove wetlands, beautiful beaches, and wild dunes. The only way to reach the island is by boat.

Our trip to Paradise - Inhaca Island, Mozambique
Inhaca Island is located on the entrance of Maputo Bay, in the south of Mozambique. Although small, this island has great tourism value due to its beautiful coral reefs and gorgeous beaches. The entire island is protected as a natural reserve. Our weekend here was like Paradise. We went to the Lighthouse beach and Ponta de Santamaria.
