Video Bali villages are a unique aspect of traditional Balinese life that remains today.
Bali villages are known as desas and are located both on the wetlands of the rice paddies and the dry land of gardens, compounds, roads and temples. Most Bali villages are home to 3 village temples, known as kahyangan tigas and each focuses on a symbolic aspect of life: origin - pura puseh (navel temple), pura desa (territory) and pura dalem (temple of the dead). Temples are extremely important when it comes to local rituals and ceremonies and these events cannot take place unless a pejati or notification offering has taken place.

This hotel is situated about 3 km to the east of Legian Kuta, a pleasant distance from the hustle and bustle of the city and therefore the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday. It is a similar distance to the beach.Constructed in Balinese style and surrounded by a large tropical garden, the hotel comprises a total of 34 rooms set over two floors. The special shape of the grass-roof villas is derived from the typical Balinese Lumbung. The upper part of this center hut of each family compound serves as a rice barn, while the lower floor - an elevated lounging area (Bale) - is used as a meeting place. We transformed this concept into a unique design of our guest rooms. While the dome shaped grass rooftop of the upper floors conveys a spacious and tropical feeling, the ground floor's Bale is made into a cozy retreat next to the garden. The lobby, restaurant and shopping area are designed to follow the Lumbung-concept.Location: Hotel Vila Lumbung is located 5 km northwest of Legian/Kuta, away from the crowd and perfectly situated to enjoy your holiday in quietness and tranquility, though only a 10 minutes taxi-ride away from the shopping places of this pulsing tourist center.
