It's 7am and the Royal Marine Commando Engineers are practicing driving JCB's on to a landing craft at Instow Beach in Devon . Looks easy but I bet it isn't .

Instow is a coastal village in North Devon and a stop on the Tarka Trail Cycle Path. This video was shot for trailtrash.co.uk and will form part of the video tour of the trail.

Flying Over Instow

North Devon Moving Image worked with young film makers aged between 9 and 10 at Instow Primary School in North Devon, UK as part of the Into Film See it Make it programme.

Young film makers from year 5 at Instow Primary School in North Devon wrote and produced this fabulous film using poetry, live action film, green screen and puppetry to tell the world about the special environment around their school.

Sunset and Partial Eclipse At Instow Devon , 21st August 2017

As the clouds came over the early evening at Instow I thought even if there was the slightest chance of seeing the partial eclipse it was gone now . At 8pm looking out of the bathroom window there was the sun with about ten per cent covered by the moon . So off to the beach we went and got these shots , a partial eclipse and sunset all in one with Lundy Island in the distance .
