Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum. Spreading across four acres in area, this museum came into existence in the year 1999. The Punjab Government constructed the museum as a gesture of tribute to the courageous soldiers who struggled and laid their lives during various wars and battles that have been fought so far. Keeping up the museum with the International standards was the prime focus of the Government of Punjab.
Located on the GT Road in Ludhiana, Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum not only pays homage to the soldiers but also educates the citizens of India about the role of defense. A majestic statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh sitting proudly on a throne welcomes you as you enter the museum. It has 12 galleries with exhibits of different divisions like the Ancient History Gallery, Post Independence History Gallery, War Hero’s Gallery, Air Force and Navy Gallery etc. The main hall displays pictures of the various Chakra winners, Chief Marshals, Generals and Admirals of Punjab. Two glorious lawns exhibit trophies of the Navy, Army and Air Force.
A major attraction of this museum is the light and sound show which narrates the story of war of independence and the role of the gallant soldiers of Punjab in it. The show also creates a sense of nationalism among the people. You can also have a look at the number of battle tanks, Anti-aircraft guns, an old Sukhoi and an INS Vikrant model placed around the museum for the visitors to see. The Government of Punjab has been spending a good amount of money for the maintenance of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum to immortalize the memories of independence. This conscientious effort definitely calls for a visit to this honorable museum.

Closed on Mondays
Entry fee: Rs. 40 (adults), Rs.20 (children)

Fateh Burj - Chapar Chiri Punjab 4k
A grand memorial, Fateh Burj has been raised at a cost of Rs 46.02 crores, a few kilometres from Mohali. It has a special place in Sikh history. It was here that Banda Singh Bahadur, one of the most respected Sikh warriors, won a decisive battle against Wazir Khan, commander of the Mughal army.
The 328 feet high Fateh Burj, highest Burj in the country, is a befitting tribute to mark the victory and is dedicated to establishment of Sikh Misls in 1711. Besides a museum that records the history related to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, a war field has been created on 21 acres. It is the place where historic Sirhind battle between Sikhs and Mughals had been fought on May 12, 1710.

Gurdwara Mehdiana Sahib, also called the 'School of Sikh History is a Sikh gurdwara located in the village of Mehdiana, just outside Mallha,near Jagraon in Ludhiana district, India
Sikhs believe the site of the gurdwara to be where Guru Gobind Singh and his followers rested after the Battle of Chamkaur against the Imperial Mughal armies of Aurangzeb and where he was requested by his followers or the Sangat to write the Zafarnamah.
The gurdwara is known for its uniquely coloured architecture and monuments depicting important events in Sikh history.Additionally, the Dhaab (natural water reservoir), greenery, birds and trees made Mehdiana Sahib popular with pilgrims. Today parts of the Gurdwara have become dilapidated due to a lack of funds resulting from its isolated location and private ownership status.
