Artic Travel - Rankin Inlet, Baker Lake Nunavut & Yukon Territory Mark Erney Satellite Dish
Best video clips from satellite technician Mark Erney while traveling to the arctic regions of Nunavut Canada and the beautiful Yukon Territory between 2009 and 2012. Opens with a snow cat ride 20 km across the ice to Rankin Inlet. Includes an arctic helicopter ride from a remote exploration camp, a carabou herd near Baker Lake, seaplane and helicopter rides in the Northern Territories, and ends with some beautiful clips in the mountains of the Yukon Territory at a remote mine camp. Really shows the challenges involved in getting to remote mining camps. It's not just a job, it's an adventure! Narrative captions by Mark Erney. This is revised from my second version with better captions, color and audio level adjustments. The helicopter was just too loud in the first upload. And the red captions looked terrible. I think this is better. I hope you enjoy it. Please give me a thumbs up if you do. Thank you for watching. Please visit my web site at for more information and resources.

Baffin Island Expedition 07: Day72 - Arrive In Igloolik
Location: Iglulik, Nunavut
Date: 05/12/2007
The Global Warming 101 Expedition draws to a close in grand fashion, but that is just the beginning of our work. Over 1000 people gathered on the sea ice to welcome the team to their final destination, and home of our Inuit partners, Lukie, Theo and Simon. Fire engine sirens wailed as the dog teams drew near, with hand shakes and hugs of congratulations for all.
The evening was capped by a surprise visit from Jewel, who performed for the community and expedition team.
