IS THIS BETTER THAN THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD? | Places to Visit in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Hello! Okay, so these footages are taken when I went to visit my bf when he was during a week of placement at a rural town, Tralagon. So, we decided to take the chance to travel around the area. These places are really not too far from Melbourne city, about 1-2 hours drive away. And I personally love Inverloch. If you don't wanna drive like 4-5 hours to Great Ocean Road, this could be a good alternative. This could actually be a better alternative since its not crowded with tourists and all.
1. Lakes Entrance: Surf beach and TO THE ENTRANCE WALK
You have to walk through the trail, starting at the end of the bridge from the town centre (See video for more info) Tbh, that was like one of the best places I visited.
2. Nyerimilang - Heritage Park: This park is for the aboriginals. The drive there was quite shady, but follow the GPS and you will get there lol. It looks amazing and you can see the golden beach from there.
3. South Gippsland- Toora Wind Farm: This is just a very nice place to take a picture. (Refer to my thumbnail) Gives you the holland-y feels :D
4. Inverloch- Shack bay, eagles nest and the oaks: GUYS THIS IS DAMN NICE HAHA its like replacement for 12 apostles and all. And so much nearer.
Bonus: Dinner place at O'Neils. Since you are around the region, just pop by this restaurant. Although not the cheapest but the food is WEW. YUM!
That's all. If you loved this, like, comment, subscribe?:P
Venus Bay Caravan Park presented by Peter Bellingham Photography
Venus Bay Caravan Park is conveniently located within a short drive from beautiful Wilson's Promontory, Phillip Island and the many other attractions of South Gippsland.
Only 800 meters from the main surf beach. This beach is patrolled every day during the Summer school holidays and on weekends for the remainder of summer.
The Caravan Park has a spacious layout, with power, water and sullage to all sites. Ensuite sites are also available. Both cabins and sites are set in a shady parkland setting and are suitable for either the romantic weekend away or a family beach holiday. Bike riding is encouraged within the park and helmets are essential. We can also accommodate group bookings and the heated recreation room is ideal for meetings or social events, with adjoining electric BBQ for self-catering.
Venus Bay State's longest sandpit with five superb surf beaches, choice of surf, river and estuary fishing.
For those of you who enjoy the beauty of the natural Australian bush land, Venus Bay has lots to offer. Only a short drive from the Caravan Park is Point Smythe Reserve, where there are many scenic bush-walking tracks.
There are great views of Anderson's Inlet and an abundance of wildlife to be enjoyed. Watch out for kangaroos crossing particularly near Fisherman's Jetty and just past the viewing tower, approaching Point Smythe. Boat ramps are located at Fisherman's Jetty and Tarwin Lower

Our family has been going to Inverloch for generations, but I had never explored the beaches quite like this.
The rock formation, though wasting away, resembles the top of Australia.

Philip Island and Bass Coast VIC - Australia The Giant Loop - Episode 14
Series 2 - Australia, The Giant Loop
Episode 14 - Philip Island and Bass Coast, Victoria (4/3/19 - 7/3/19)
...
Philip Island is situated 150km south of Melbourne CBD, we left on the night of the fourth and woke up with Southern Ocean views on the south coast of the island the next morning. On the hunt for surf we drove along the coast from Surf Beach and found a couple of good clean spots in Smiths Beach, for our first surf in over a month! After that we drove to the western most point of the island Summerlands, stopping off at Philip island circuit en route, to see the Fairy Penguins. On the way off the island we drove through the small town of Cowes (twinned with the Isle of White, with a pub called the Isle of White at its centre) then drove off the island to find some where to camp.
The next couple of days we drove along the southern coast of Victoria avoiding bush fires on our way to Mt Kosciuszko in NSW.

Beach Park Tourist Caravan Park - Top Tourist Parks - Discover Downunder
In this video Tim and Brooke from Discover Downunder visit the very appropriately named Beach Park Tourist Caravan Park near Cowes on Phillip Island in Victoria.
We challenge you to find a holiday park closer to a beach than this one. If it were any closer, it would be in the water!
Set in beautiful and quiet leafy surrounds, Beach Park Tourist Caravan Park features a heated swimming pool, a playground, two BBQ areas and a massive function and games room.
The park's Beachfront Bungalows are the pick of the accommodation options, but there are also Island Bungalows, lots of other cabins and of course, plenty of caravan sites.
Phillip Island is one of Victoria's most popular tourist destinations with its spectacular surf beaches, the world famous fairy penguins and the Moto Grand Prix which takes over the island each October.

MELBOURNE: Travel Video Diary #1
My visit to Melbourne and the southern country/coast of Australia, 18th-23rd November 2016.
Larissa was kind enough to invite me back to her home and we went on a road trip over the few days I was there. We went all the way down to Wilson's Promontory, the southern most point of Australia, and dared to swim in the gorgeously clear, icy water, and managed to see some of the native Australian wildlife. Inverloch was next on the list, with more beautiful beaches to see, and a drive along the coast to Phillip Island. After a windy drive through Cowes, we made our way to the Penguin Parade. Highlight of the trip! Melbourne city was the last stop, with a lovely brunch catch-up with Mel at Higher Ground cafe and a stroll through the old Victorian arcade and shopping centre.
And then I was off! Thanks for being my travel bud Larissa. Ooo yeah yeahhhh yeahhhhhh ????
