Official opening of the Irish Military War Museum in Co Meath
The Irish Military War Museum (IMWM) is located in beautiful countryside at Starinagh, just outside Collon, in County Meath. The museum was founded by William Sullivan, a local farmer, who has been a life-long collector of military-related material. The IMWM aims to explain the long and complex history of Irish involvement in major military conflicts. Its grounds include a re-created World War 1 trench system, a tank driving area, picnic areas, a child-focused obstacle course and a small animal enclosure. The site is under continuous development and promises to become a major educational and tourist destination.
On 1 May 2015, Paul Kehoe TD, Government Chief Whip & Minister of State at the Departments of the Taoiseach and Defence, performed the official opening of the museum. Also in attendance were the Ambassadors of Russia and Belgium, Senator Thomas Byrne, local dignitaries, retired and serving members of the Gardai and the Irish Defence Forces, Irish veterans of the UK forces and friends and neighbours of William Sullivan.

Had the great pleasure of stopping by the Irish Military War Museum during my holiday, and was granted permission by the great owner of this fantastic private collection to film some of items on display. Can not recommend this Museum enough if your visiting the Meath/Dublin area of Ireland.

Listowel Military Show 2018 - WWII Reenactment
It was a pleasure to return to Listowel for another edition of the military show with this years addition of the Kingdom Comic Fest. Although this time it was for one day only, it was well worth the trip. Listowel, located in Co.Kerry, its a beautiful small town with tidy and colorful streets, the atmosphere is very relaxing and I always get a feeling that I wish I could stay a bit longer. We will definitely be back next year and hopefully for the all weekend.
