Fun things!
Two weeks ago I visited Budapest and drank Pálinka on the big wheel, saw Pussy Riot , and had some disappointing salads at the Dorchester in London.

I Did Peloton For Two Weeks Straight And Here’s What Happened
The exercise company Peloton sells a stationary bike for $1,995. It’s recently exploded in popularity, surpassing even the spin giant SoulCycle in customers, data from last year suggests. Equipped with a wifi-enabled touch-screen, the bike allows you to join high-intensity spin classes remotely and, according to the company, get a studio-grade workout from anywhere.
Over the course of two weeks, Producer Benji Jones put it to the test, taking a 45-minute class every day. And to measure his progress, he did a before and after fitness assessment — which revealed some pretty surprising results.

Marieke at Brussels Folk Club/La Porte Noire
I met a yoga student who started this really rad folk club concert series back in 2010. When he heard me sing for Savasana, he invited me to perform a three-song set as one of three openers for the main musicians at a really neat venue in Brussels center called La Porte Noire, an underground bar that is all brick with low, arched ceilings and used to be a root cellar way back in the day. I was at home with the bricks and started the set with a song from my Lowell days called City to Remember. Second song was my favorite blues tune, Gambler's Blues/St. James Infirmary. Finished the set with my favorite Judy Henske version of Wade in the Water. Super fun to be out and singing again! The whiskey was good too (albeit super pricey). The main group, The Hut People, were incredible performers and also hilarious!

Go back to Europe
The current stop of Kundalini's adventure around the world is the isle of Martinique, the Caribbeans. Travel around the world with us!
SUBSCRIBE NOW! -
In this episode, we are on land, water, and in the air. Not only by plane... The fear of heights gained ground also on the rig, but we had other adventures too, like pulling up the dinghy in heavy rains, so everything can be in order while we are in Europe. In spite of the long and tiring journey, we tried to make an exciting episode for you. Please watch, and decide whether we succeeded or not.
The KUNDALINI SAILING starts from here to conquer the Caribbean.
THE STORY
¯̅¯̅¯̅¯̅¯̅¯̅¯̅¯̅¯̅
My affection for sailing started when I was a child. Once, when I was on holiday at Lake Balaton, near to Fonyod city, I glanced a slim and beautiful sailing boat emerging from behind the reeds. It was love at first sight! Unfortunately, as I grown up in the Great Plain of Hungary, I could not get near to sailing. Because of that, I was just staring at boats through my father’s binoculars, sitting on the shore during my holidays. It was a classic, heavy, black, Russian binocular. I was just walking around the boats in the harbour, looking at them, and making dreams.
I managed to get close to shipping in 2006. At that time I settled down with a 25 foot sailboat in the harbour of Balatonaliga. I have been dealing with shipping since that time. The usual inland adventures came after that: circling around Lake Balaton many times and mostly alone. Later Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Spain and France followed, and I even managed to sail in Norway, for two weeks. At the beginnings, I used to try to partner up with others. I kept my eyes open, made observations and learnt a lot. We used to participate in competitions at the Adriatic Sea, but all of these were not enough – maybe it is not the best word here – for me. Somehow it was not a complete thing… I wanted to sail alone… alone and a lot. Then some years alone came on the Mediterranean Sea. That was an amazing period in my life. I crossed the ocean two times. I went to the Caribbean, the Far East, and so on. I visited these places alone in most cases.
It became clear to me that I must deal with sailing… I had to find a boat suitable for taking a journey around the world, which has a higher comfort level compared to those ones I used before. I used to cross the ocean by a boat in which did not even have a bed … I slept on a large backwind sail. I know life is not easy. I could be at home, watching TV programs broadcasted by National Geographic or travel channels. That would be safe, but I prefer to face challenges of everyday life: I make things fixed, I do sewing, cooking, fishing and I am ready to stay up at night, to be soaked by rain and so on. I want to be here … where everything is so different. This way is everything is so fine and complete for me. Soon I will reach the 30,000th marine mile.
I found Kundalini in March of 2017. In April, I arrived with four suitcases (three of which contained tools) with my friend, Tomi on board and together we started performing those endless tasks, which have already been listed by that time. There is no part of the boat which would not have been polished, cut, replaced or painted in the five months. I know the boat well!
1st of September – almost ready to start the journey!
9th of September – my girlfriend and I left Athen by the Kundalini (BLOG). Journey has started! We reached Gibraltar through Greek, Albanian, Italian, French and Spanish waters and sailed to the ocean.
I am writing these lines in the port of Guadaloupe, Terre de Haut city. There is a great deal of memory of adventure, landscape, taste and experience behind our backs.
I feel that I have managed to build a boat which I was always craving for.
Travel with us and live the KUNDALINI feeling.

Eugene gives his opinion on my 150th Gogol Bordello gig
On 21st June 2014, I went to my 150th GB gig. It was the last night of the European summer tour and took place at the amazing Carroponte in Milan, Italy. Edit: The humour of this video is lost on some people, so I thought it was better to edit this description than to get involved in a ridiculous conversation in the comments (we all know responding to YT trolling is pointless).
I've been friends with and worked for Eugene (and the band) since 2007. He knows Sacred Darling is my favourite song, and when they played it at this show he stopped it midway through and dragged me out into the middle of the stage (somewhat against my will; I'm quite shy and don't like attention that much). He announced to the crowd that it was my 150th gig, and then restarted the song with the band playing to me and him singing the chorus directly to me (while I danced like a twat).
After the show we were laughing about it and he did this review of my involvement. He is taking the piss out of my giddiness, which I assumed was clear from the fact he cracked up at the end. It would seem people would rather take it at face value and instead assume Eugene is lecturing me for being disinterested.
TL;DR: HE'S FUCKING JOKING AROUND IN THIS VIDEO.
Okay, thanks, bye.
