Frostbite Run 2014 at Iron Horse Park, Airdrie, Alberta
The annual Frostbite Run at Iron Horse Park in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. Operated by the Alberta Model Engineering Society, a volunteer members club, the park is a public facility to learn about railways and railway safety while enjoying a trip around the park on the 7 1/2 gauge scale track that is a mile long. Our own Dale Deyo was the Engineer.
Our annual winter event, the Frostbite Run, is held each February for just one day on Alberta's 'Family Day'. This year, the day was perfect with temperatures slightly above freezing and a beautiful sunny day, as can be seen in the video. Just over 1000 riders enjoyed the day with us and we look forward to yet another successful run season at Iron Horse Park starting in May.

Ironhorse Park Miniature Train Ride - Airdrie, Alberta
Ironhorse Park is in Airdrie - just north of Calgary, Alberta. This miniature train ride is meant to represent a ride across Canada. You pass great lakes, wide plains and even mountains.
It's a fun ride, a couple of bucks to peruse the kilometers of track. Bring a lunch for the kids and snack between rides, or grab something to eat inside.
