Ise Jingu Grand Shrine （伊勢神宮） is one of the most important and sacred Shinto Shrines in Japan. It is located in Ise City （伊勢市） of Mie Prefecture. In fact there are two parts of this shrine, one is called Naiku or the inner shrine （内宮）, second is the Geku, or the outer shrine （外宮）.
This video depicts the Naiku or the inner shrine and the main worshiped deity in this shrine is Amaterasu-Omikami or the Sun Goddess. The main worshipped area is out of bounds for cameras, so this video goes only up to the outer areas of the Shrine's main worship hall.

The US Cherry Blossom Queen's visit to Ise 2017 (Part 1)
This is the first part of a series of video documentary on The 2017 Cherry Blossom Queen's three day Visit to Ise. I accompanied the US delegation with Mr. Takaaki Ishida, Secretary General of Ozaki Yukio Memorial Foundation from Tokyo. Part 1 contains our trip to Ise by train, and our visit to Ise Grand Ise Shrine, Okage Yokocho Street, Meoto-Iwa(Married Couple Rocks), Ise Pearl Center and a welcome dinner organized by NPO Gakudo Kofu on the first day.

Ise Jingu Grand Shrine - Geku The Outer Shrine, Ise City
Ise Jingu Grand Shrine (伊勢神宮） is a very important Imperial Shinto Shrine in Japan. It is located in Ise City （伊勢市） of Mie Prefecture. There are two parts of this Shrine. One is Naiku （内宮） - the inner Shrine and the second is Geku （外宮）- the Outer Shrine. This video is for Geku - the Outer Shrine. The main worshiped deity is Toyouke-no-Omikami, the Shinto God of agriculture and Industry. Please note that since cameras are not allowed inside the Shrine's main worship hall, only the views from outside are shown.

Here I take you to a tour of the Ise Outer Shrine (Geku) 伊勢外宮, on a beautiful sunny Monday. It was a holiday so there were quite a few people visiting the shrine to get their minus ion (haha) and visit the power spot. I had a nice walk and it was quite calming. Enjoy.

Nestled at the bottom of Mt. Takakura, the Geku (Outer Shrine) enshrines Toyouke Omikami, the god of agriculture and industry, who is also said to be responsible for the meals of the sun goddess Amaterasu Ōmikami. Shogū, the main sanctuary building, is also surrounded by pile-fences like the Naiku (Inner Shrine), and its architectural style is called Yuiitsu-Shinmei-zukuri. The Kaguraden, Kujoden and Imiyaden halls are along Sando Street, and Kiyomorikusu, a massive ancient tree associated with the Envoy of Taira no Kiyomori, looms above the path. Across the street, there is Magatama Pond, where irises bloom in the spring. The Naiku and Geku stand at a distance of 5 kilometers from each other. Visiting the Geku first and Naiku second is the traditional, old-fashioned way to visit the Grand Shrine of Ise.

【縁結びスポット】夫婦岩が有名な三重県伊勢市・二見興玉神社にお参り散歩 Walk at Futami shrine Meotoiwa , Ise Mie JAPAN.
三重県伊勢市にある、夫婦岩(めおといわ)で有名な二見興玉神社(ふたみおきたまじんじゃ)へお参りに行ってきました。名古屋からゆっくり走って約2時間、伊勢神宮内宮から約30分で着きます。
三重県では伊勢神宮に次いで参拝者が多く、撮影をした1月中旬は初詣のピークを過ぎた時期ですがそれでも多くの参拝客で賑わっていました。人気の水族館・伊勢シーパラダイス隣接の「めおと横丁」からスタートし、二見浦海岸沿いの参道、社内を歩いてきました。
古来より伊勢神宮参拝の前に二見浦の海水で心身を清め禊をする「浜参宮」という慣わしがあり、現在でもまず二見興玉神社に参拝し、お祓いを受けてからお伊勢さんへ向かう方が多いのだそうです。

I went to visit Futami Okitama Shrine famous for couple rock (Meoto iwa) in Ise city, Mie prefecture. It will take about 2 hours from Nagoya and arrive in about 30 minutes from Ise Shrine inland shrine.
In Mie prefecture, next to Ise Shrine there are many worshipers, and in the middle of January I shot, it was a time when I passed the peak of the New Year's visit but still crowded with many visitors. Starting from the popular aquarium · Ise Sea Paradise neighbor Meoto yokocho, I have been walking in the entrance along the Futamiura coast, inside the shrine.
From the ancient times before the Ise shrine visit, there is a custom of Hama sangu which cleanses the mind and body with the seawater of Futamiura, even now it is better to visit Futami okitama Shrine and visit Ise for the first time It seems that there are a lot.
