4K 佐賀県 祐徳稲荷神社 Yutoku Inari Shrine, Kyushu JAPAN
Yūtoku Inari Shrine 祐徳稲荷神社 is a shrine located in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture. It is one of the most famous Inari shrines in Japan.
Dedicated to Inari, the wild fox kami, it is the third largest of its kind in Japan. It was constructed in 1688 as the family shrine of the Nabeshima clan who ruled what would become the Saga area (called Hizen at that time) during the Edo period. It was built to the Inari kami of the harvest by a princess from Kyoto named Manko Hime 萬子媛 who married Nabeshima Naotomo. The Nabeshima clan was entrusted with protecting Edo’s interests in Kyūshū, in particular the city of Nagasaki, which was one of the few ports open to foreign contact during Japan’s period of isolation.
Its main hall stands on tall wooden beams 18 meters above the valley floor, not unlike Kyoto's Kiyomizudera Temple. From the main hall's terrace, a walking trail leads further into the wooded hill behind the shrine. Sections of the path are covered by torii gates and lined by smaller shrines. After about a ten minute climb, visitors will find the small Okunoin shrine hall at the top and nice views over Kashima City and the nearby Ariake Sea.
Higashi-yama Koen, a park making up the outer garden of the shrine, is known for the splendor of its azaleas.

Kashima-jingu Shrine[ZEKKEI IBARAKI]
Kashima-jingu Shrine is a historic shrine that is believed to have been established in 660BC (the first year of Emperor Jimmu) and dedicated to Takemikazuchi-no-Okami, one of the deities of martial arts who founded the country of Japan.
The current Shaden (main building) of the shrine was donated by the second shogun of the Tokugawa Clan, Hidetada, the Okunomiya (rear shrine) by Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the Romon (gate) by Tokugawa Yorifusa, the first head of the Mito Domain. They have all been designated as important cultural properties.
If you proceed along Okusando (the approach to Okunomiya) to see Okunomiya (rear shrine), you will be able to see Shikaen (deer garden), Kaname Ishi (keystone), and Mitarai Ike (purification pond).

Japan’18 - #5 Nezu Jinja, Hanazono Inari SHRINE & Okonomiyaki - | by Tania Sofia de Andrade
SUBTITLES!!! [ENG/GER]
While I was searching (with Google StreetView) for places to go in Tokyo, I accidentally found the beautiful shrine from Nezu. I was amazed by these constructions, with thousand torii, sukibei walls, etc. so we HAD TO go there!
Japan 2018 playlist:
It has a little shirne (Komagome Inari Jinja) right beside the Nezu Jinja and another shrine by the pon, the Otome Inari Jinja. The main complex is the honden (main sanctuary), haiden (hall of worship & oration) and the heiden (offering hall). It has the west gate nishimon and in the south a chinese styled gate, the rōmon. The kaguraden is where in festivals the music and the dances are performed. It was super crowdy that day and there was a lot of delicious streetfood, like during a matsuri!
There's also the azalea garden. A huge garden with pathes through tons of azaleas! Because there were so many people waiting in line, we decided to just watch instead of walking through.. xD'
We prefered to walk several times through the thousand torii, haha. I love them! And there were so many kitsune (fox) statues!
After that we went to the Tokyo Tower for the One Piece section and we found another little shrine. I'll show you the footage of the Tokyo ONE PIECE Tower in a seperate video. We went there, but unfortunately the live action show wasn't running yet. So we decided to come back again and that's why we visited the OnePiece Tower twice.. xD It was fun!

Yutoku Inari Shrine
The Yutoku Inari shrine is a massive red shrine built into the side of a mountain. This particular shrine is know for it's bright red architecture along with white foxes as it's deity. The hike up to the top of shrine takes between 10 to 15 minutes. Along the hike, you will walk through multiple rows or red torii gates, which is perfect for pictures. Once you reach the top, you will have an amazing view of the area. This shrine is one of the top 3 best shrines I have personally seen in Japan.
This shrine is roughly an hour from Hario and 1 hour 30 minutes from Sasebo, Japan.

【4k】化野念仏寺-Adashino Nenbutsu-ji:Arashiyama and Sagano
嵐山の少し奥、竹藪を越えしばらく歩みを進めると化野念仏寺が現れました。現在、竹林は改修中とのことでしたが、他の寺社仏閣とは異なる雰囲気を堪能できました。
Adashino Nenbutsu-ji (化野念仏寺 Adashino Nenbutsuji) is a Buddhist temple in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan. In 811 Kūkai is said to have founded a temple, then Honen altered it to the present Nenbutsuji. Situated high on a hill overlooking the city from the northwest, it sits in an area where since the Heian period people abandoned the bodies of the dead, exposing them to the wind and rain. Now, some eight thousand Buddhist statuettes, which had been scattered around Adashino then collected about 1903, memorialize the souls of the dead. During its well-known 'sento kuyo', a ceremony dedicated to the spirits of the dead, about ten thousand stone statues are lit up with candles.
Walking Tour 63: Ukiha, Fukuoka, Japan - Inari Shinto Shrine & Judaic Symbols
Sept. 30, 2019
Doing a little exploring in the country town of Ukiha in Fukuoka Prefecture in Japan before we check into our hot spring hotel.
We visited the Inari Shinto Shrine that overlooks Ukiha, and I talk about the meaning of various Shinto Symbols that I have learned from various internet sources. Very interesting stuff.
Wikipedia says this about the initials INRI (presumably the origin of the Japanese word, Inari):
The initialism INRI (Latin: Iēsus Nazarēnus, Rēx Iūdaeōrum) represents the Latin inscription (in John 19:19), which in English translates to Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews, and John 19:20 states that this was written in three languages—Hebrew, Latin, and Greek—during the crucifixion of Jesus. The Greek version of the initialism reads ΙΝBΙ, representing Ἰησοῦς ὁ Ναζωραῖος ὁ Bασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων.
The title King of the Jews is only used in the New Testament by gentiles, namely by the Magi, Pontius Pilate, and the Roman soldiers. In contrast, the Jewish leaders use the designation King of Israel. Although the phrase King of the Jews is used in most English translations, it has also been translated King of the Judeans (see Ioudaioi).
