【4K】Walking from Ishinomaki station to Manga museum and pier
Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
Next day after foxes I went to pier to get to cats island. On the way I decided to film streets of Ishinomaki city to Manga museum. The road going to Manga museum has some statues from some manga ( sorry, don't know what manga).
Part of road after museum looks deserted, that's because of tsunami flooding in 2011. You can see the difference in Google Street View.
As you already may know it was too windy for ferry and I got to cats island only next day.
Map
Time 10/07 9:00am
Filmed in UltraHD 4K 60p with Lumix GH5 camera, 8-18 f2.8-4 lens, Beholder EC1 stabilizer and Audio-Technica AT9946CM mic.
Feel free to correct my English or suggest a video to film.

Then and Now - Ishinomaki 11.11.11
On November 11th, 2011, eight months after the Tsunami, Paul, Ivan and Jeffrey visited Ishinomaki and interviewed a number of residents, each with very different stories and experiences. I was in Ishinomaki on January 21st and the long upward path to recovery continues. Kotobukiya, is back in business and the Sato's are looking very happy! Many thanks to Toshihiko Fujita, Mr. and Mrs. Sato, Takahiro Chiba, Gota Matsumura, Takako Abe, Mr. Yamakami and Mrs. Yonekura. To your continued recovery!
April footage was shot by Takeshi Fukushima.
Original music composed by Paul Johannessen. Performed by Kaoru Arai on Harp and Yasazuki Yamazaki on Shinobue. Available for free download at

Japan Day 6 - Ishinomaki
Welcome to day 6, ganbaru Ishinomaki.
This is the vlog documentation of my month long study abroad program focusing on film and music to Japan. These videos are not meant to be instructional in any way unless labeled child friendly, in which case it will be an instructional video appropriate for children from ages 2 1/2 to 6 about some of the basics of Japan. This is just meant to be a fun look at my trip to japan and my experiences.

ISHINOMAKI, JAPAN, presentation (ENG)
Ishinomaki Sakura plantation project in tsunami affected areas. Objectives are to depollute and restore local damaged ecosystems, promote sustainable practices for the rebuilding of the area (organic, forestry, agroforestry models) and support grass roots initiatives and social mobilization to rekindle possibility, pro-activity, and socio-economic development.
Japan Tsunami and earthquake relief trip 16 months after in Ishinomaki.
The 3-11-11 tsunami in Japan: over 20,000 lives lost, to date is the most expensive natural disaster in recorded history at $235 million dollars, and has caused a crippling wake of depression resulting in a sky rocketed number of suicides. Nothing we can do can change the former two, but you and I can change the later by bringing hope. This video is the short story of an awesome group of people from Texas that I had the extreme pleasure to lead to Japan as a Real Impact Missions team leader. We sweated it out for 2 weeks helping to remove and bury the effects of the tsunami: the rotted subflooring, still damp and molding insulation, and crumbling sheetrock, doing our best to leave a wake of hope in our path. Japan's road to restoration looks different than most; taking the form of new wallboard, mold free homes and schools, and cleared fields where kids can play soccer again. It was a pleasure to aid the dedicated missionaries of Grace Missions Tohoku (GMT) and other organizations in Ishinomaki Japan that are there day in and day out, laboring to get the daily life in their community even just close to back to normal. We thank God for the opportunity to go, and for the work of restoration that He is doing there.
Ishinomaki reborn after tsunami [Japan 2017]

Ryan Takes Japan - EPISODE 4 - SHIROSHI, ISHINOMAKI, and MATSUSHIMA
This is the fourth episode chronicling my adventures abroad in Japan and Vietnam in September and October 2017. I spent a few days in Sendai in the Tohoku region, wanting to visit areas that were affected by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
Really, a nice quiet side of Japan that I got to experience with some rad German travelers. Much thanks to Tommy, Vince, and Maret for their company.

IshinoMaki City - walk through with Nippon Foundation
A tour around IshinoMaki City where there was unbelievable damage, more than I've seen in my life thus far. 1,000's of people dead and homeless, communities turned upside down. On the up side, amazing compassionate hearts and workers helping to clean up the mess and establish peoples lives back together - this cleaning up will take a long time.
