Combined two days worth of diving into a 3 minute video of the highlights of the dive. I had my GoPro Hero4 Black mounted on the right shoulder strap of my BCD, so you experience a modified first-person view.

We always get asked by viewers and readers where we stay at while on vacations. Well, we have listened and made you a video of one of the hotels we stayed at on our most recent trip. We love this place, after a long day of hiking or scuba diving it's so relaxing. They have two pool, one is zero entry (perfect for the kiddos, a restaurant on site, bar, gift shop, and a massive beach with a pier.
Hope you enjoy the video.

Bass Pro Shops Islamorada, Florida
We needed some fishing gear so we took the Hewes Redfisher over to Bass Pro Shops - Islamorada, Florida for a little shopping. Lots of great fishing stuff in there! Oh & the Pilar is there. It's a replica of Ernest Hemmingways boat he used to take over to Cuba. Thought we'd show you around a little. If you have never seen it, it's pretty cool.

Islamorada, Florida Keys, Florida, United States
Islamorada, Florida Keys, Florida, United States 2002
Islamorada, a Village of Islands, is an incorporated village in Monroe County, Florida, United States. It is located on the islands of Tea Table Key, Lower Matecumbe Key, Upper Matecumbe Key, Windley Key and Plantation Key in the Florida Keys.
The name Islamorada (Original meaning: Island Home), newly nicknamed, The Purple Isle, came from early Spanish explorers in the area. It is pronunced Is-La-Moh-Ra-Da.
Islamorada was hit almost directly by the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935, causing 423 deaths. A memorial, including the ashes of over 300 victims, exists today at Overseas Highway mile marker 82.
The Florida Keys are a coral cay archipelago located off the southern coast of Florida, forming the southernmost portion of the continental United States. They begin at the southeastern coast of the Florida peninsula, about 15 miles (24 km) south of Miami, and extend in a gentle arc south-southwest and then westward to Key West, the westernmost of the inhabited islands, and on to the uninhabited Dry Tortugas. The islands lie along the Florida Straits, dividing the Atlantic Ocean to the east from the Gulf of Mexico to the northwest, and defining one edge of Florida Bay. At the nearest point, the southern part of Key West is just 90 miles (140 km) from Cuba. The Florida Keys are between about 23.5 and 25.5 degrees North latitude.
Wreck Dive - The Eagle - Islamorada- Florida Keys - May, 2014
Built in Holland in 1962, the Eagle is 269 feet in length. The freighter was intentionally sunk in December of 1985 and can be found at 70-110 feet. Hurricane Georges split her hull in two back in 1998. The wreck is popular among divers and fish. Tarpon, goliath groupers, schools of grunts and jacks can frequently be found there (as you can see on this video). With her split hull, a crow's nest, a four-blade propeller and plenty of diver-friendly penetrations, the Eagle is a must for wreck enthusiasts.

DIVING in KEY LARGO !! LIVING OUR BEST LIFE / SHARKS !!!
This week we decided to head down to Key Largo and work our way through the Keys this year. It was amazing, the water was so clear and beautiful. It was exactly what a post card would look like. I now have a new found respect and desire to dive in open waters and will be focusing on getting my own equipment.
Captain Slate was who we dove with along with his daughter Sky. I highly recommend working with them.
Here is a little about Key Largo.
Key Largo is the first of the fabulous Florida Keys and is the self-proclaimed Dive Capital of the World. It is home to the world's largest artificial reef, the 510-foot USS Spiegel Grove, the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and the African Queen. Everglades National Park is just a short trip away from Key Largo.

Scuba Diving in Key Largo, Florida: Molasses Reef, French Reef, Benwood & Spiegle Grove dive sites
The most frequently visited dive site in the Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary, and likely the world, is known as Molasses Reef. During World War II, near midnight on April 9th, 1942, the Norwegian merchant freighter Benwood was on a routine path from Florida to Virginia, transporting a load of phosphate rock. It was running with no lights to avoid being spotted by German U-boats, which was common for ships throughout the war. The Spiegle Grove ship is enormous and much larger than any natural reef structure in the Keys. In fact, at the time of its sinking, the Spiegel Grove was the largest ship ever intentionally sunk to create a new reef for divers, and it remains one of the largest ships ever scuttled for that purpose.
