Kayak fishing with SeaGrass Charters guide Capt. Jeff, from Port St. Joe, Florida.
I've been really bad at uploading videos - no small thanks to the terrible internet connection I have.
Here's one from today...
Slow day really (compared to just a week ago - sorry, no film of that due to technical difficulties). Conditions have been good in this spot recently. The drawback today, I feel: it was Memorial Day weekend and this place had been hit hard Friday and Saturday.
My charter guest was game to give it a go anyway.

Be sure to use caution when approaching wild animals -- those beaks are sharper than they look! Check out Captain Krista's wild adventures and book a fishing charter at CaptainKrista.com.
Eanes Family Mahi Mahi- Deep Sea Fishing St George Island, FL.
Since I was a kid watching deep sea fishing shows I wanted to catch a Mahi Mahi. This day we went 12 miles from St George Island after leaving Apalachicola, FL in search of the fancier fish in the Gulf of Mexico. More nature did not disappoint and we catch a absolute beauty with the Eanes family.

Ocho Rios Jamaica Cruise Port & Island Village Margaritaville Beach (4K)
Take a look at what Ocho Rios Jamaica Cruise Port & Island Village Margaritaville Beach were like from our eyes in a vlog format. We had fun overall by just staying near the cruise port terminal area. There was a beach at a Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville within about 10 minutes of walking, in a shopping center called Island Village.
The beach was free to get into though you would pay extra for lounge chairs with umbrellas. We chose to just lay down a towel at a shady area and enjoyed the beach just the same. The waters were a bit chilly in spots even though it was July, and the area was pretty crowded with the presence of our ship the Holland America Veendam, and a huge MSC Seaside. It wasn't too bad though as you can see.
Later on we perused Island Village which has quite a few stores for those people looking for shopping, though lower prices could be found nearby the cruise terminal building where there were plenty of local Jamaican vendors hawking goods. We also tried Mr James' Jerk Chicken by a local vendor nearby- you can't miss the cart as they kept repeated broadcasting the message over loud speakers: Jerk Chicken & Rice & Beans or Jerk Chicken & Hardo Sliced Bread. Yeah Man We Still the Best Man. Welcome to Jamaica. Best in Lifetime. Yeah Man Still Going On.
If you were looking to get further away, we saw a chart of taxi prices- just be sure to double check with the driver of the agreed upon price before leaving.
This was from our Cuba Cruise aboard the Holland America ms Veendam, stopping in Jamaica in July 2018.

Hassel Island Hike St Thomas 2015
Hiking Hassel Island in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands (USVI) on February 23, 2015. We had a tour guide from the Historical Society for our hiking trek, his name was Doc (the guy in white cloths and white ball cap), and he was a 23 year US Veteran. He was a true historian, he tied his stories of world history and USA history together, true connections for the Island of St. Thomas. There is a great website on Hassel Island, look it up if you like. There are three big hills to hike up, the first being the worst. I would rate them as moderately hard, not technical. I did it and I’m no spring chicken. It was about a 3 mile / 4.8 kilometer hike at about 4.5 hours. Hassel Island is a National Park, there is a small section on the island that is privately owned. There is no camping or fires allowed on the island, you can hike and picnic all you want. I would recommend getting a tour guide from the Historical Society, we had a blast.
There is one story Doc told us that I will never forget, it gives me goose bumps every time I think about it. In 1776 during the USA revolutionary war there was a ship in the St. Thomas harbor, it was loaded with gunpowder on its way to the 13 colonies for George Washington. The ship was flying the US flag. On its way out of the harbor, a Danish ship gave that US flag its first 21 gun salute. I thought that was awesome. Enjoy.

Bicycle Ride Around Mackinac (Mackinaw) Island
Bicycle Ride Around Mackinaw Island
Mackinac Island is about 8 miles (13 km) in circumference and 3.8 square miles (9.8 km 2) in total area. The highest point of the island is the historic Fort Holmes (originally called Fort George by the British before 1815), which is 320 feet (98 m) above lake level and 890 feet (271 m) above sea level.
Mackinac Island (/ˈmækᵻnɔː/ MAK-in-aw) is an island and resort area, covering 3.8 square miles (9.8 km2) in land area, in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located in Lake Huron, at the eastern end of the Straits of Mackinac, between the state's Upper and Lower Peninsulas. The island was home to an Odawa settlement before European exploration began in the 17th century. It served a strategic position as a center on the commerce of the Great Lakes fur trade. This led to the establishment of Fort Mackinac on the island by the British during the American Revolutionary War. It was the site of two battles during the War of 1812.
In the late 19th century, Mackinac Island became a popular tourist attraction and summer colony. Much of the island has undergone extensive historical preservation and restoration; as a result, the entire island is listed as a National Historic Landmark. It is well known for its numerous cultural events; its wide variety of architectural styles, including the famous Victorian Grand Hotel; its fudge; and its ban on almost all motor vehicles. More than 80 percent of the island is preserved as Mackinac Island State Park
The island can be reached by private boat, by ferry, by small aircraft, and in the winter, by snowmobile over an ice bridge. The airport has a 3,500-foot (1,070 m) paved runway, and daily charter air service from the mainland is available. In the summer tourist season, ferry service is available from Arnold Transit Company, Shepler's Ferry, and Star Line Ferry to shuttle visitors to the island from St. Ignace and Mackinaw City.
Motorized vehicles have been prohibited on the island since 1898, with the exception of snowmobiles during winter, emergency vehicles, and service vehicles. Travel on the island is either by foot, bicycle, or horse-drawn carriage. Roller skates and roller blades are also allowed, except in the downtown area. Bicycles, roller skates/roller blades, carriages, and saddle horses are available for rent. An 8-mile (13 km) road follows the island's perimeter, and numerous roads, trails and paths cover the interior. M-185, the United States' only state highway without motorized vehicles, makes a circular loop around the island, closely hugging the shoreline.
The island is the location of Mackinac Island State Park, which covers approximately 80 percent of the island and includes Fort Mackinac as well as portions of the island's historic downtown and harbor. No camping is allowed on the island, but numerous hotels and bed and breakfasts are available.
The downtown streets are lined with many retail stores, candy shops, and restaurants. A popular item at the candy shops is the locally produced and nationally known Mackinac Island fudge, leading to tourists sometimes being referred to as fudgies. Many shops sell a variety of fudge, and some of the confectioners have been operating for more than a century. The popularity of the fudge has led to the sales and marketing of Mackinac Island fudge not only throughout Michigan but outside the state as well

OFFSHORE SAILING FLORIDA TO BAHAMAS - BRAND NEW 40' Catamaran Sailboat Delivery
We left Fort Lauderdale Florida, crossed the gulf stream, and sailed to Great Stirrup Cay and Great Harbour Cay in the Bahamas where we spent the day. This video covers the first 48 hours of our trip. After the Bahamas we went 8 days offshore in the ocean to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Our route was straight east for about 4 days and then headed south. We had storms and heavy wind up to 35 knots for 2 days but no wind the last 4 days and motored a majority of the trip. The boat will be chartered in the Virgin Islands all year so we were paid to move this boat for the charter company.
Filmed with Canon 80D 10-18mm, 18-55mm, 50mm 1.8, Rode Video Mic, GoPro Hero 7 Black in 4k with stabilization, and DJI Mavic Air drone. Vlog edited with Adobe Premiere. Filmed October 2018.
One of the Treasure Island Caves on Norman Island, BVI
According to local lore, the caves at Norman Island were where Robert Louis Stevenson got his inspiration for many of the scenes in Treasure Island, where Long John Silver and Jim Hawkins made their way through those spooky caves. This is the footage from my swim/walk-through of the through cave that does not dead end.
