We went for a day tour in the southern part of Cebu. Our first stop was Sumilon Island, then Kawasan Falls and our last destination was Oslob for the whale shark watching. We had an early day, as early as 4am and we were picked up by the tour agency driver for our private tour.

The entrance for the activities is not included in the PHP 6000.
In Kawasan falls they prepared lunch for us in a private home as the place is in the middle of nowhere. The driver was really friendly. The car was comfortable and with aircon. I highly recommend the tour agency.

Here’s part 2 of my 3 part series of Island Hopping in the Philippines. This time I hop on over to Cebu from Boracay. I flew from Godofredo P. Ramos Airport Mactan (MPH) which is also known as Caticlan Airport (MPH) to Cebu International Airport (CEB) with Cebu Pacific Air to visit the Whale Sharks in Tana-Wan Oslob as well Kawasan Falls through the tour I booked through Island Trek Tours.
I had booked my accommodations at Tune Hotel (Red Planet Hotel) located in Cebu City through Expedia and arranged for a pick-up from the airport through the hotel as well. The one thing I enjoyed about this hotel that it was in walking distance to Ayala Centre which is a very large shopping mall.

On our 2nd day in Cebu, we went to Bluewater Resort Sumilon Island. We availed of the Day Tour which costs P1,500 each inclusive of BUFFET LUNCH (Yes! w/ emphasis. lol), free use of the water equipments (Snorkel, kayak, life vest, etc.), access to their trekking trail & pool.
We took the Liloan-Bato bus from Cebu South Bus Terminal which took around 3 hrs for 165php each :)

I had the chance to fly out to Cebu with my father as a thanksgiving to him. Although it was only me and him, my two brothers and sister were part of this special tour.
I documented the memories and scenery so that I could forever remember this event and also to inspire everyone to make their parents happy even with the simplest ways that they can do.
In this video, we had our adventure at Oslob for whale shark watching and then at Sumilon Island for island-hopping.
I'm not an expert cameraman so please excuse me for the shaky videos.

Oslob is a 4th municipal income class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 27,893. In the 2016 electoral roll, it had 18,886 registered voters.
Topography
Generally, topography of the area is hilly and rolling, dominated by open grasslands and second growth forest. There are fairly level and rolling plateaus and valleys spread throughout the interior. These are some of the most suitable areas for upland agriculture. The highest mountain peak is 800 meters (2,600 ft) above sea level.
The Island of Sumilon is located at the southeastern tip of the Municipality of Oslob in the province of Cebu. The island has an area of 24 hectares and has clear waters with varying aquamarine hues and white sand beaches in different areas of the island.
It is the first marine protected area in the Philippines and was created as a marine sanctuary in 1974 under the guidance of the Siliman University Marine Reserve of Dumaguete City in the nearby province of Negros Oriental.
The island is famous throughout the country and internationally for the exceptional beauty of its dive sites. Sumilon has four major dive sites, which are Garden Eel Plaza, Nikki’s Wall, Coral Landscape and Julie’s Rock. The island’s diving sites are famous for their superb visibility, stunning reefs and abundance of varied tropical marine species that provide an ideal and memorable dive. There are occasional sightings of black tip sharks during dives.
A popular attraction in Sumilon Island is its sandbar because of its changing shapes and shifting locations around the island depending on the season. Other places of interest in the island are a natural lagoon teeming with high mangroves and natural caves used by fishermen to seek refuge during storms, and a pristine lake.
On the south portion of the island, a lighthouse rests on a protected tree park and beside it is a “baluarte,” a historical watchtower built as part of a warning system to thwart slavers and marauders in the 19th century.
Besides diving, you can also go bird watching, do beach picnics with the family, fishing, hiking, island tours, paddling and trekking.
