DescriptionNassau is the capital of the Bahamas. It lies on the island of New Providence, with neighboring Paradise Island accessible via Nassau Harbor bridges. A popular cruise-ship stop, the city has a hilly landscape and is known for beaches as well as its offshore coral reefs, popular for diving and snorkeling. Atlantis Paradise Island Water Park Slides + Tour | Nassau, Bahamas
This was my first trip to Atlantis. There was a lot to see and since we ventured to Atlantis from our cruise, we didn't have a full day to see it all. I went on four of the best water slides they have, enjoyed the aquarium and got a chance to try some of the food at the resort. I had a great few hours at this place. If you have any questions about Atlantis, leave a comment below. Thanks for watching! :)

Discover Nassau and Paradise Island in The Bahamas
If the fabled continent of Atlantis should rise up out of the waves, it might look like Atlantis on Paradise Island. With its coral-colored buildings, strange rooftops (even with leaping marlins facing each other) and an iconic main building consisting of two halves connected by a bridge, Atlantis on Paradise Island creates an impression of erupting from another time, another place, another world.
Atlantis on Paradise Island is an upscale resort that offers something for everyone. For adults, it offers thousands of comfortable hotel rooms, suites and condominium-type living spaces. More than 21 fine dining and casual dining venues make sure one never need go hungry. Nighttime entertainment includes music and dancing, a theater and a comedy club, in addition to bars and lounges. The biggest casino in the Caribbean, decorated with enormous Chihuly chandeliers, allows many opportunities to tempt the gods of chance.
A large spa features a choice of therapies for personal pampering. A fitness center and tennis court keeps athletes in shape. The challenging Tom Weiskopf-designed Ocean Club Golf Course makes golfers happy.
The resort is lush with vegetation, verdant with lagoons and pools. It boasts of white soft sand beaches and a series of interconnected pools for cooling down when the sun gets too hot. It has ocean views that go on forever. In short, the property is dazzling.
Paradise Island is in the Bahamas, connected to Nassau by two bridges. Nassau has become a popular cruise stop for many Caribbean cruise operators, usually on the way back to a U.S. home port . Unfortunately, at this point in time, when one has tired of island beaches and ubiquitous tourist shopping traps, there really isn't that much to do in Nassau, even for a few hours of disembarkation.
So, many cruise passengers opt for a day pass to Atlantis because, even though it is very expensive, it is a unique and fascinating destination, particularly for kids.
Visitors check in and get tagged with ID's to make sure they don't wander into areas reserved for resident guests. Mostly, they have access to the pools and beaches on the property. None of the pools or lagoons are particularly deep, so kids can have a good time in a safe environment. Parents and grandparents with kids in tow off the cruise ships can enjoy the relaxing day.
It is the adventures, however, that justify the price of admission. Atlantis, true to its name, has amazing water slides and aquariums that can leave adults and children thrilled and spellbound. The Leap of Faith water slide, for example, takes a leap of faith as guests ride a nearly vertical 60-foot drop at high speed through a clear acrylic tunnel submerged in a shark-filled lagoon. It is amazing to watch a huge shark swim by as you glide through the water. The top of the slide looks like an ancient Mayan Temple, adding to the human sacrifice apprehensions.
Guests can even race each other down one of the adjacent water slides and then check their speeds on the time clocks at the bottom to see who won. Small children can enjoy a special slide area built for them, ending in a pool only three feet deep.
Kids can have close encounters with a large variety of sea creatures, creating thrilling and educational experiences. In Dolphin Cay, kids can interact with dolphins and sea lions, even hug and kiss them. There is also a trainer program where kids can work with the pros in close proximity while learning about the animals. Kids can touch, interact with and feed sting rays in several lagoons on the property. forbes rich list London luxury shopping billionaire millionaire Monaco super rich private jet yacht entertainment luxs report us usa America uk London Donald trump Dubai elite executive arab ceo forbes Europe vip money lil wayne travel 5 star hotel super car bugatti Lamborghini Ferrari Porsche private jet 2014 2015 monaco luxury get rich gambling investment Beverly Hills Malibu Miami positive thinking super yacht mega yacht playboy mansion luxury lifestyle mansion Walk down a flight of stairs and step into a tunnel that goes to The Dig, a simulated archeological excavation complete with turn of the century tools that looks like a scientist found and is reclaiming that eponymous fabled kingdom. An old-fashioned deep sea diving suit directs attention onto the glass walls of an enormous sea life aquarium. Huge sharks, mantas, eels and other amazing creatures swim by close enough to touch, but for the glass. One giant manta casually flapped its wings to glide through the water, revealing a wing span of perhaps 15 feet. The Dig is an exciting simulation that can excite kids' imaginations.
Walk up another staircase and enter the enormous lobby, with Egyptian-like pillars, huge domes and colorful frescos that reflect ancient themes.

The Russell Brothers - Nassau, Bahamas - Voyage.tv
Visit for the best HD travel videos in the world.
Starting at Norman's Cay Beach Club in Nassau, the Russell Brothers take you on an exploration through The Bahamas. The brothers' relationship with the islands dates to the late 1700s. Their family was part of the original Loyalists who landed on Eleuthera and The Abaco Islands. Fast forward to the early 1920s when tourism began to boom and many islanders began moving to Nassau for work. One of these migrants was the brothers' grandfather, a former captain of the Duke of Windsor. He got his grandchildren involved in the business and sparked their love for the water. Now, the brothers own the popular and secluded hotel club here that attracts tourists looking for a cultural Bahamas escape. Hop aboard their boat as they demonstrate how to enjoy The Bahamas by sea, traveling 30 miles southeast of Nassau to Leaf Cay in the Excuma Islands. A down-scaled Jurassic Park, here you'll catch a glimpse of the South American Rock Iguana population. Boat a little further to Saddleback Cay and see why guests flock to this serene location scattered with beautiful white sand dollars.

Welcome to the Exumas, Bahamas!
At long last we arrive at Staniel Cay in the Exumas where we go to the famous pig beach and Thunderball Grotto. Jessica is in her second trimester of pregnancy. We had fun with the pigs and exploring the surrounding area. We left in some longer relaxing clips of underwater from Thunderball Grotto.

REVIEW of POWERBOAT ADVENTURES Exuma tour from Nassau
Our family of 5, (mom, dad, and kids ages 3,6,7) spent a day with Powerboat Adventures while we were visiting the Bahamas and the Atlantis Resort. It was one for the memory books and we can't say enough good things about this tour! The entire crew was awesome and provided such a great day for our family. They treated the kids like gold and found every way to include them and make them feel special in every activity we did. We stopped to feed the iguanas at Allan's Cay, then made our way to Ship Channel Cay where we met the swimming pigs, fed stingrays, and got up close and personal with sharks! They catered a wonderful lunch and the bar was open all day. Most people went drift snorkelling but our kids were a little young for that part so we did our own version closer to shore. I'd recommend bringing kids size snorkels if you have them as theirs were a little big but they did have lots and we did make them work! Jason, (one of the crew), found a huge conch shell while snorkelling and cleaned it and gave it to our daughter to take home with her! She proudly has it displayed in her room! This was by far the best excursion we have ever done and was the favourite part of our Bahamas trip! Hope this video gives you a little glimpse into what you'll expect to see when you join Powerboat Adventures for the day!
