Fine Art TV Series - Colour In Your Life
Season - 17
Episode - 03
Filmed on Location at - Scotland, United Kingdom
With the ambition to become an artist, Scott Naismith studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. In June 2000 he left with a BDes in Illustration and printmaking. Since graduating Scott has been a full time artist, working from his studio in Glasgow. Much of his time is spent travelling around the country looking for inspiration for another depiction of the Scottish landscape. The many lochs, glens and isles of the West coast are amongst his favourite subject matter for his vibrant and atmospheric oils. Scott has been lecturing part time since 2004 and now lectures one day a week at the creative arts department of West College Scotland.
Scott Naismith uses vivid colours in a vigorous application to represent the fast changing light conditions of the West coast of Scotland. Colour use often becomes an entirely emotional response to the subject while values can remain representational. The love he has for his native Scottish countryside is portayed in his work through an ebullient energy with which he handles the colour with palette knife and brush.
Scotts recent work concentrates on transitional skies and the many colours involved when light breaks through cloud. These changing skies from dark to light are a metaphor for optimism and hope. After a miraculous recovery from cancer by his father, recent marriage and birth of his 2 children, Scott Naismith draws upon a great positivity and energy.

Sound of Silence - Hot Air Ballooning
It is like no other flight you have ever experienced. The sensation is unique to this form of flight. You are not being pushed around by an engine. You will be gently floated up and down by the heating and cooling of the air inside the balloon. Then the pilot artfully determines altitude levels that contain breezes going different directions and speeds. By using combinations of these levels the balloon will move and flow with these gentle breezes in a general direction of travel and then to the eventual landing point.
Peace and tranquility reign as you float over the tree tops above the beautiful countryside. As the balloon rises, your panoramic view of beautiful landscape and all who inhabit it is put into a perspective that you won't soon forget.

SUPERTRAMP - WikiVidi Documentary
Supertramp are an English rock band formed in London in 1969. Though their music was initially categorised as progressive rock, they later incorporated a combination of traditional rock, pop and art rock into their music. The band's work is marked by the individual songwriting of founders Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies and the prominent use of Wurlitzer electric piano and saxophone. Though their early style was progressive, they would enjoy greater commercial success when they incorporated more radio-friendly pop elements into their work in the mid-1970s, going on to sell more than 60 million albums. The band reached their commercial peak with 1979's Breakfast in America, which sold more than 20 million copies. Supertramp attained significant popularity in the UK, US, Canada, Europe, South Africa, and Australia. Since co-founder Hodgson's departure in 1983, Davies has led the band by himself....

SUMMARY
=======
Tristan da Cunha (), colloquially Tristan, is both a remote group of volcanic islands in the south Atlantic Ocean and the main island of that group. It is the most remote inhabited archipelago in the world which lies proximately 1,511 miles (2,432 km) off the coast of Cape Town in South Africa, 1,343 miles (2,161 km) from Saint Helena and 2,166 miles (3,486 km) off the coast from the Falkland Islands. The territory consists of the main island, Tristan da Cunha, which has a north–south length of 11.27 kilometres (7.00 mi) and an area of 98 square kilometres (38 sq mi), and the smaller, uninhabited Nightingale Islands and the wildlife reserves of Inaccessible and Gough islands. As of October 2018, the main island has 250 permanent inhabitants who all carry British Overseas Territories citizenship. The other islands are uninhabited, except for the personnel of a weather station on Gough Island.
Tristan da Cunha is part of the British overseas territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. This includes Saint Helena and also near-equatorial Ascension Island, which lies some 1,741 miles (2,802 km) to the north of Tristan. There is no airstrip of any kind on the main island meaning the only way of traveling in and out of Tristan is by boat, a six-day trip from South Africa.
