Ismantorps fornborg(Fortress), Öland
Ismantorp Fortress (Swedish: Ismantorps fornborg) is a ringfort located on Öland Island in Sweden constructed during the Migration Period.
One of approximately 20 known ringforts located on Öland, Ismantorp was never permanently occupied following its construction in about 200 CE, but used occasionally until abandoned around 650 CE. The ringfort consists of a limestone wall approximately 300 meters long and has nine gates. Inside the ringfort are 95 houses arranged in 12 blocks around a central open area with a circular building. Ismantorp is the largest and probably the oldest of the ringforts on Öland.

Eketorp is an Iron Age fort in southeastern Öland, Sweden, which was extensively reconstructed and enlarged in the Middle Ages. Throughout the ages the fortification has served a variety of somewhat differing uses: from defensive ringfort, to medieval safe haven and thence a cavalry garrison.[1] In the 20th century it was further reconstructed to become a heavily visited tourist site and a location for re-enactment of medieval battles. Eketorp is the only one of the 19 known prehistoric fortifications on Öland that has been completely excavated, yielding a total of over 24,000 individual artifacts. The entirety of southern Öland has been designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Eketorp fortification is often referred to as Eketorp Castle.

Eketorp`s fort / Eketorpi muinaslinnus/ Eketorps borg Eketorp fort is an Iron Age fort in southeastern Oland, Sweden, which was extensively reconstructed
The three building phases were:
Eketorp I (300-400 AD.)
Eketorp II (400-700 AD.)
Eketorp III (1000-1300 AD.).
Sandby borg is an Iron Age ringfort, one of at least 15 on the island of Öland, Sweden.
It sits about 2 kilometers southeast of Södra Sandby village in Sandby parish in southeastern Öland.
It is also close to the village of Gårdby.
From 2011 the fort has been subject of excavation, the results of which show that it was the scene of a massacre in the late 5th century AD.
The victims of the massacre were never buried but are found lying as they fell, inside the houses and scattered on the streets of the fort. This has resulted in a unique snapshot character of the archaeology at Sandby borg, providing new insights both to violence and conflict in the Iron Age but also concerning everyday life in the ringfort.
The ringfort of Sandby borg is located adjacent to the shoreline on south-east Öland. Today, the structure consists of an eroded oval stone wall of 2-3 m height enclosing an area of approximately 5000 m2. The walls are made from local limestone with a fill of erratic boulders and pebbles.
Three gates are visible as shallow depressions in the wall; crop marks visible in aerial shots of the site suggest the presence of a possible fourth gate. The original ringfort wall was 4 m wide and would have been approximately 4–5 m high.
Aerial photographs and geophysical surveys of the ringfort interior revealed buried stone structures, interpreted as stone house walls of 53 houses. The layout is similar to that of several other Öland ringforts, e.g. Eketorp, with houses radially placed inside the ring wall and a central block surrounded by a street.
To the west of the ringfort there is a structure consisting of numerous regularly placed rows of large erratic boulders, probably part of the defensive structure of the fort.
