이스파르타에서 유명한 것 중 하나가 카펫. 도시에는 카펫 박물관이 따로 있을 정도다. 터키 유목민족은 기원전 5세기부터 카펫을 짜기 시작했다고 한다. 카펫은 이제 종교상의 필수품이 되었다. 무슬림들은 카펫 위에서 기도를 올린다. ‘이스파르타 카펫의 특징은 모든 디자인의 영감을 식물에서 얻는 것입니다. 이슬람 교리 때문에 카펫에 동물의 형상을 그려 넣을 수 없기 때문입니다. ’박물관엔 만들어진지 100년이 넘는 카펫도 많이 전시되어 있다. 손으로 직접 짜고, 채소와 과일 등 자연 염색으로 색을 입힌 카펫은 정교함 그 자체다. 이 지역에선 여전히 많은 여성들이 전통적인 방식으로 카펫을 만들고 있다. 10명이 넘는 여성들이 모여 카펫을 짜고 있는 마을 작업실. 서로 다른 색깔의 실을 사용해서 세로실을 걸고 가로실을 매듭지어가는 방식으로 만든다. 카펫은 올이 많고 촘촘할수록, 가치가 올라간다고 한다. 그렇기 때문에 카펫을 짤 때 섬세한 손길은 필수다. 잘 만들어진 카펫은 수십, 수백 년이 지나도 모양이 흩어지지 않는다고 하니, 마냥 신기했다.‘오늘 종일 만든 게 이 정도고 25cm 카펫을 만들려면 일주일이 걸립니다. ’작업장 한 켠에서 어린 여자아이가 보인다. 엄마에게 카펫 짜는 법을 배우고 있다.‘ 딸이 카펫을 배워두면 혼수로 만들어 갈 수도 있고 결혼 후에도 돈벌이의 수단이 될 수 있어서 가르칩니다. 엄마가 하는 걸 보고 관심이 생겼고 혼자 힘으로 좋은 카펫을 만들고 싶어요.’ 언젠간 이 아이도 딸에게 카펫 짜는 법을 가르쳐줄 것이다.

Hello! This is my personal channel where I share my travel videos. I am still very amateur about photography and videography so please endure with my videos and show some love!
Most of the clips in this video are from my trip to Yazılı Canyon, Kovada Lake National Park which is located in IspartaTURKEY. The hotel clips are from Kilikya Palace in Göynük/ANTALYA. Isparta is very close to Antalya.
Yazılı Canyon is known for its delicious trout and scenic views. It is in the Sutculer District of Isparta, in the Mediterranean Region. The area is well known for its lakes and the picturesque views of the area, and also the rich variety of flora and fauna. The best time to visit is between April and October. Yazılı Canyon derives its name from the rock inscriptions on the canyon walls, which includes the writings of the famous philosopher Epictetus. The nature park is known for St. Paul crossing this road during his journey from Perge to Yalvaç. It is also the most direct route connecting the Antalya region to the north. Although referred to as the King's Road, this path is more commonly known as St. Paul’s Trail or the Way of the Cross.
Kovada Lake National Park is popular for trekking, climbing, fishing and basic camping. It is a rich working and recreation place for nature lovers. Many kinds of trees from red pine to juniper; from wild olive to European and Turkey oak constitute the basis of the natural flora. Herbs like wild rose, daphne, blackberry enrich this structure. ovada Lake is an important point for bird watchers as well. Its waters are valuable as it is a watering hole for migratory birds. Wild geese, rudy shelducks, herons, wild ducks, woodcocks come to the lake. If you happen to see bouncing birdson the rocks, know that they are partridges. You shouldnt be surprised to see martens, badgers, wild bears, foxes, squirrels or rabbits too.
