ISRAEL First Impressions (one day in Tel Aviv)
Our first day in Tel Aviv was a beautiful one! We spent the day exploring the Levinksy Market, the Carmel Market, and the Jaffa Market in the old city. Then we had the best hummus in the world for lunch!! Followed by a gorgeous sunset on the beach. We ended the night with our first Shabbat dinner with new friends! This was our first time experiencing the Jewish Sabbath in another country, and it was a really special night. Thank you again Aaron for having us :)

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. Palestinian Terror In Tel-Aviv hotel - Israel
On April. 23, 2017, a Palestinian terrorist (18) from Nablus, calmly entered the Herod's hotel, went in to one of the shops, stood in front of the female employee, stared soullessly into her eyes and in seconds pulled out a knife in his hand and stabbed her in the face. He continued and stabbed another man then tried to flee while the injured man chased after him.
While the Palestinian terrorist ran away, he managed to stab another innocent Israeli in the head.
Moments later Israeli policemen caught the terrorist and arrested him.

I don't normally eat at very many high end fancy restaurants like this. But my friend David ( invited me to eat at Eyal Shani's flagship restaurant in Tel Aviv known as Ha Salon (The Salon), saying it was one of the most unique restaurants you'll ever try. So thank you to David for getting reservations and for covering this meal.
It turned out to be very exciting, with a full open kitchen where you could watch all the food being prepared in front of you. It was lively, and the food was prepared with extremely high quality ingredients.
A couple things for you to know:
1. It's extremely expensive
2. It's a very party environment, so don't come here for a quiet relaxed date where you can have a conversation.
