Ita Fort in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh's Papum Pare district - 14th century fort
Beautiful Ita Ford at at the heart of the capital city in Papum Pare district of Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. This historical monument the Ita Fort of Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh was established by the rulers of the Ahom dynasty, somewhere between 14th and 15th century. The excavated ruins of this historical fort are one of the major tourist attractions in Itanagar and being imposing it was highly irregular in shape.
The impressive but highly uneven structure of the fort is said to be built with over 8 million bricks, 45 cubic meters of stone and is known to have been made by 4600 man-days. It is a pride and one of the most important historical structures of Arunachal Pradesh, so much so that the capital Itanagar also has its name derived from Ita Fort ( Fort of Bricks.)

Historical place museum in Itanagar
Ita Fort in Itanagar town, is one of the most important historical sites in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. The name literally means Fort of bricks (brick being called Ita in the Assamese language). It also lends its name to the city Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. The Ita Fort at Arunachal Pradesh was built as early as the 14th or the 15th century by kings of the Chutia dynasty.[1] The fort has an irregular shape, built mainly with bricks dating back to the 14th-15th Century. The total brickwork is of 16,200 cubic metre lengths which was probably built by kings of the Chutiya kingdom which ruled the region during that time. The fort has three different entrances at three different sides, which are western, the eastern and the southern sides.

I have created this video while visiting ita fort somedays back with my frnds..
I was not prepared..i even did not think of doing this act ..but at the spot the idea of jumping challenge to my mind..
The brick structures are about 15 feet in height.
The distance between the brick strctures are about 8 feet at longest..but other two side is smaller in comparison..it can be jumped easily..only fear is when u r going to jump from other two side..the shape it forms is just like a rectangle..i think u got my point..
Hope viewers will enjoy my video..

Perched high atop Itanagar, on just the place where five hundred years back the Ahom kings kept watch over the surrounding areas in the plains of their kingdom, this is the Eastern gate of that magical fort which can compare with the fabled Macchu Pichhu on a good day and was built with 80,000,000 bricks over a massive 45,000 days.
