About Itami City
Itami City is located in the south-east of Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
The city is around 10 km from Osaka and is home to Osaka (Itami) International Airport. Itami's neighboring cities are Amagasaki, Nishinomiya, Takarazuka, and Kawanishi (Hyogo Prefecture), and Toyonaka and Ikeda (Osaka Prefecture).
Itami City is known as the birthplace of sake: around the year 1600, the technique for making clear or refined sake was first discovered in Itami's breweries, giving us the drink we know today.
Today, the city is home to the oldest sake brewery building in Japan - the Former Okada Residence and Sake Brewery, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.
Itami is also famous as a sacred site for naginata training. As well as being home to the All Japan Naginata Federation headquarters, one of Japan's three biggest private dojos, Shubukan, is also located in the city. Shubukan Dojo still carries out naginata training today.

The Private Utopia Exhibition will be at the Itami City Museum of Art, The Museum of Arts & Crafts, Itami from 12 April to 25 May 2014. The exhibition explores more than 115 artworks by approximately 30 British artists who came into prominence from the 1990s onwards, including emerging artists of the present. Covering a striking array of themes, ideas and materials, the selection of works reflect the multifarious nature of contemporary art in the UK today, and the broadening definition of what art can be.

築港赤レンガ倉庫は大正12年（1923年）に住友倉庫によって建設された大阪に残る数少ないレンガ建築である。その産業遺産をリノベーションする事業として、2015年6月に往年のクラシックカーを集めた「GLION MUSEUN（ジーライオンミュージアム）」がオープン。敷地内にはステーキレストラン「GLION STEAK HOUSE」、カフェ「GLION CAFE 1923」、ショールーム「GLION SHOWROOM」が併設されている。
Chikko red brick warehouse is one of the few brick buildings that remain in Osaka, which was built by Sumitomo Warehouse in 1923. As a project to re-use of its industrial heritage, GLION MUSEUM a collection of classic cars was opened in June 2015.

Private Utopia Itami Exhibition: Jeremy Deller x Takarazuka University Students
Private Utopia: Contemporary Art from the British Council Collection
The Private Utopia Exhibition will be at the Itami City Museum of Art, The Museum of Arts & Crafts, Itami from 12 April to 25 May 2014. For the exhibition in Itami, 8 art students from Takarazuka University collaborated with the artist Jeremy Deller, to design and create the wall mural to which the display screen showing Deller's video work 《So Many Ways To Hurt You (The Life and Times of Adrian Street) 》(2010) would be set. In this video, the students share what they have learnt from this unique experience.
About the exhibition:

2016 美しい夕焼けと夜景・横浜港クルーズ(4K) Fantastic Sunset And Night View At Yokohama Bay Cruise(UHD)
12月9日に山下公園の氷川丸のすぐ隣の乗船場からマリーンルージュという観光船に乗って横浜港クルーズをし、4K撮影しました。夕焼けと夜景の両方が見れるように、日没時刻の４時半の30分前４時丁度に出航する便を選びました。マリーンルージュの90分コースは、本来なら横浜港の外に出て、鶴見のつばさ橋の下を回るコースなのですが、当日は、風が強いという事でベイブリッジの外に出て直ぐ横浜港に戻る短縮コースになりました。富士山には、あいにく雲がかかっていてクリアには見えませんでしたが、日没後の夕焼けの色が素晴らしく、みなとみらいの明かりと相まって素晴らしく美しい景色でした。夕焼けが終わり、暗くなった後の夜景も大観覧車のネオンに彩られて、大変きれいでした。美しい横浜港サンセットクルーズの全貌をお楽しみ下さい。
On December 9th, I got on board the cruise ship at Yokohama Bay and Shot beautiful scenes of sunset and night view of Yokohama Bay. The name of the ship is Marine Rouge which start just next to the monument old ship Hikawamaru displayed in the Yamashita park. I took the ship start at 16:00 so that I can view both sunset and night view. The afterglow of the sunset was so colorful and beautiful in the back of the skyline of the Minatomirai. The night view was also fantastic. Please enjoy.

Minami Koen (Minami Park) is another lesser known cherry blossom gem that has a much more peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.
Unlike more active and crowded cherry blossom spots in Fukuoka, such as Maizuru Koen and Nishi Koen Minami Park gives a quieter and less hectic experience. Some of the best cherry blossoms are near the entrance to the Fukuoka City zoo.

Japan's Crazy Desert Revealed: Tottori Sand Dune Adventure ★ ONLY in JAPAN
Yes, Japan has a desert compete with camels, sane dunes and ... a world class art museum with sand sculptures! This time, John heads to this barren wasteland devoid of vending machines for a taste of the Sahara – in Japan.
100,000 years ago, this area turned into a desert because sand flew in from the sea accumulating over many millennia. The result is a 16 km by 2 km wide desert that was growing until about 50 years ago when the city residents decided enough was enough.
MORE HISTORY:
After World War 2, a barricade was built to prevent tsunami and residents planted trees to stop the desertification. Now the desert area is shrinking and because of its uniqueness and lure for domestic and international tourism, the residents no longer want to stop it. In fact, 6000 volunteers in 2015 come out every few months to put pull out the vegetation all in the name of ecology!
History and problems aside, this place rocks!
50 meter high sand dunes overlook the beautiful Sea of Japan to the horizon.
THE SAND MUSEUM:
I didn't just come here for the sand dunes.
The SAND MUSEUM is a world class art museum produced by Chaen Katsuhiko who tells us his story and the reason why the Tottori Sand Dunes are so special in the world today.
Indeed, it's become a center of sand sculpting with a massive indoor enclosure housing dozens of sand sculpture displays created by guest artists from around the world and a place of pride for the city to Tottori.
Every year THE SAND MUSEUM has a major theme with new designs, reusing the sand to make a new world for visitors. This year's theme is South America and it's history with a special emphasis on Rio DeJanaro which hosted the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

HOW TO GET TO TOTTORI CITY FROM TOKYO:
There are daily flights to Tottori Conan Airport from ANA and JAL from Haneda in Tokyo.
It's best to book as far ahead as possible since the price is cheaper in advance. Foreign tourists may get a discount on the JAL and ANA English websites.
FROM OSAKA:
There are buses and trains but flying is still the fastest and easiest.
Daily flights from Itami Airport and Kansai.
FROM TOTTORI CONAN AIRPORT TO THE SAND DUNES:
There is a bus that goes directly to the sand dunes.
The sand dunes and museum are between the airport and central train station.
There are buses for 300 yen departing JR Tottori Station for the Sand Museum every 15-20 minutes.
