MANTAB BULE DEMEN GAMELAN!!! GAMELAN DADALI MOSCOW

Gamelan Dadali is the first Javanese gamelan group in Moscow Russia. It is established under patronage of the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow on July 21, 2017.
The name of the group was inspired by the javanese word Dadali which means garuda. Garuda is the symbol of the Indonesian state. The name Gamelan Dadali reflects an Indonesian cultural symbol in Moscow Russia.

We have more than 50 songs in our repertoar including classic and modern composition.We also play musical accompaniment to the Wayang Kulit shadow theater and classical Indonesian dance in collaboration with the Kirana Nusantara Dance Moscow dance ensemble.

Gamelan Dadali opens classes for everyone who are interested in learning how to play gamelan. Our rehearsals are every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 18:30 at the Indonesian Embassy, Novokusnetskaya 12 Street, Moscow.

We had a great time playing games, singing, dancing and putting on our puppet show for the orphans at Almozovo (a boys orphanage) and at Orphanage #5 in Moscow.

Pertunjukan Wayang Curi Perhatian Warga Moskow

Moskow -Sebuah stan di Festival Indonesia tampak penuh sesak. Satu persatu warga Moskow memasuki tenda yang berdiri di salah satu sudut Krasnaya Presnya Park, Moskow, Rusia itu.Sejak Festival Indonesia berlangsung pada Jumat (2/4) lalu, tenda itu memang tampak mencuri perhatian warga Moskow. Penasaran, detikcom pun ikut menyambangi tenda tersebut. Rupanya tenda itu untuk pertunjukan wayang.Tua, muda tampak antusias menunggu pertunjukan dimulai. Dalang hingga penabuh gamelan tampak sedang bersiap. Sebelum memulai pertunjukan, mereka menjelaskan kisah pewayangan yang akan dibawakan.Warga MOskow terlihat mencoba memainkan gamelan. (Foto: Marlinda/detikcom)Sejurus kemudian, pertunjukan pun dimulai. Meski sang dalang menggunakan bahasa Jawa, tak lantas menyurutkan antusiasme warga Rusia, baik anak-anak maupun dewasa.Seorang anak perempuan yang duduk manis di depan pun tampak penasaran. Dia tampak bertanya kepada ibunya apa yang sedang ditontonnya.Ini wayang dari Indonesia, kata sang ibu menjelaskan.Menariknya, pertunjukan wayang itu tak hanya disuguhkan oleh orang Indonesia. Pemain demung, saron dan pekingnya merupakan warga asli Rusia. Mereka memang selama ini belajar di KBRI di Moskow.Semakin lama, tenda pun semakin penuh sesak. Beberapa orang memilih untuk hanya melongok sebentar lantaran tak ada lagi tempat untuknya menonton pertunjukan. Ada pula yang nekat tetap berdiri di belakang meski tak cukup ruang, seperti Zurab.Zurab mengaku penasaran dengan pertunjukan wayang. Ini kali pertama dirinya menonton pertunjukan asli Indonesia itu.Ini pertama kalinya saya menonton wayang. Sungguh pengalaman luar biasa, katanya.Berbeda dengan Zurab, Andrea sudah kali kedua menonton wayang. Pada Sabtu (3/8) kemarin, dia juga telah mendatangi tenda pertunjukan wayang ini untuk menonton dan menjajal bermain gamelan.Saya sudah dua kali datang ke sini. Kemarin saya sedikit terlambat untuk menonton wayangnya. Tapi kemarin saya belajar bermain gamelan, ujar Zurab. (mae/zak)

Each week, the Open Stage provides an exciting opportunity to practice performance on a stage with an engaged and supportive audience.

Performers sign up to show off their skills in a five minute time slot, which we film and share with the performer to help hone their craft.
