This is a documentary I recently produced, directed and edited, but it couldn’t have been done without the help and cooperation of others who all contributed something in their own way.
The focus of this short documentary is on the first motorcycle museum to have been built in Japan: The Iwashita Collection. It is located in the south western part of Japan in Oita Prefecture in a small hot spring town called Yufuin. The founder has an interesting story about how he had dreamt of building the museum from a young age. He also shares the story of how he attained the 1963 Ducati Apollo which is a one of a kind motorcycle. The museum also was hit by an earthquake in 2016 which knocked over all the bikes in the museum. Then the following year, Mr. Iwashita’s hometown was also flooded in a torrential rain storm. In his story, he shows how his perseverance and determination takes him forward. He is a man with a story that continues to roll on.

Also a big thanks to Dale Wark who not only acted as an assistant producer and researcher, but wrote and performed the narration.
Finally, thanks to Prative Dhakal and Tomoko Nagai for their help with the translations. Also to all those who took the time to give me well thought out advice throughout the process. Especially to Kaoru Nishitani and Matt Cincoski who gave me the brutal truth and are vital to help improve future projects. Your thoughts are very much appreciated.

LYRICS ::
The National Council of Jewish Women’s Thrift Stores
That’s where I go to purchase all my clothes
I need some pants “These are nice”
A little tight in the rear
How about a t-shirt that says I’m here
I am here
I am here
The National Council of Jewish Women’s Thrift Store
That’s where I go to purchase all my stuff
Like this macreme basket
Or an old chandelier
And I want that t-shirt that says I’m here
I am here
Still here
Farrah Fawcett
Coors Light Beer
I’m with Stupid
The buck stops here
The buck stops here
The National Council of Jewish Women’s Thrift Store
That's where I go to purchase all my crap
Like this stein from Hamburg but I supposedly gave up beer
And I still want that t-shirt that says I’m here
Not I’m queer
Just I’m here
Lee Majors
Billy Beer
I’m no longer with stupid
The buck stopped there
World’s greatest grandma
32
Black is beautiful
And bark at the moon
Meat is murder
Jesus saves
Just say no
And have a nice day
Have a nice day
I had a nice day

LYRICS ::
Sunshine, looks like the clouds gave us a break
Dream light, you’re going to burn me with your face
Just another night before days begin to crawl
Just another night before snow banks decorate this house
Another winter time on Tokyo Arbor
To change your ways
Flagstone you’ve got a moss for every mood
Jasmine I’m going to breathe you till I’m bruised
Just another night before days begin to crawl
Just another night before tragedy decorates this house
Another winter time on Tokyo Arbor
Twin waterfalls split the icy jade
Snow falls vanish into blackened water
Another year I’ll wait for you to change your ways
Feline
Supine
In the shade a sundial frowns
Are you going to change things?
Or treat me strangely?
‘Cause it’s going to snow until I drown
Another winter time on Tokyo Arbor
Twin waterfalls split the icy jade
Snow flakes vanish into blackened water
Another year I’ll wait for you to change your ways

LYRICS ::
Please don't make this difficult, my complicated friend
Just this once don't make such a big ordeal
Well simple is as my advice, my complicated friend
You don't have to reinvent the wheel
And don't go muck it up, up in flames, your life, oo-we-oo-wa-oo
So please don't make this more difficult than it has to be
Well I need you to look right here, I fear we’re near the end
Teach your heart to beat while keeping steeled
And don't go muck it up, up in flames, your life, oo-we-oo-wa-oo, yeah, yeah, yeah
So please don't make this more difficult than it has to be
My complicated friend...

LYRICS ::
Waiting for my entrance
Blowing past the street signs
Missing every other turn
Still getting there on time
Staring into loop holes
Faking every short cut
Knowing that my very best
Is on the other line
This is everything
Everyone you ever knew
Everywhere you ever went
Looking back at you
Tripped up on a green light
Waiting there for nobody
For the future that I left behind
Standing in the way
What about the third time
Hanging in a long line
For a shimmer on a shoulder blade, dammit
Won’t you give me the sign
This is everything
Everyone you ever knew
Everywhere you ever went
Lookin back at you
This is everything
Everyone you ever knew
Everywhere you ever went
Looking back at you
Looking back at you
Staring back at you

LYRICS ::
Quitting’s something I can't understand
And moving out’s a threat it's not your hand
You've broken me in every other way
I'm damned if you leave or if you stay
So what's it going to be vagabond?
What's it going to be Vagabond?
Serving smiles is what I do all day
I called you but the phone just rang away
I pictured all your things packed up in bags
I wondered if you'd leave the photographs
So what's it going to be vagabond?
You're very fond to leave but never gone
Is it you or is it me moving on?
I say what's it going to be Vagabond?
The holidays come lurching like a ghost
Do you remember fighting at my folks'?
I swore another year would not go by
I couldn't have told you a bigger pack of lies
I couldn't have told one bigger pack of lies
So give me something real vagabond
You're very fond to leave but never gone
Is it you or is it me moving on?
What's it going to be vagabond, vagabond, vagabond?

LYRICS ::
We stood to watch it fall
The wall that cut us all
Disintegrates into everyone
The things you felt were real
Impossible to conceal
Fear melts away into joy
So why are we still fighting the cancer
We all know the question follows the answer
And every day I grow a little bit farther from you
And love grows smaller in the din and the hollar of your
Cracked world view
I met a lot of people, people are divided it’s true
But every day’s a reason for a shorter season of your
Cracked world view
The sky turned orange blaze
Gone arosol insane
Like brotherhood swallowed everyone
That’s when we knew we’d been blind
You’d crawled inside our minds and said
“No one loves nobody”
Well we know the love and we know the anger now
Look in the mirror there stands a stranger
And every day I grow a little bit farther from you
And love grows smaller in the din and the hollar of your
Cracked world view
I met a lot of people yeah people are divided it’s true
But every day’s a reason for a shorter season of your
Cracked world view

LYRICS ::
You kiss my neck and it feels sweet
A thousand circles draw complete
And deep inside this painful world
A love endures
And baby don’t you touch ground
Our paths were never very clear
Our motives might have been impure
After all this time a love endures
Remember surely
I’ll be there when you’re down
Yeah and baby don’t you touch ground
Cable cars, Manhattan bars, where Sundays last forever
The things that made us sad seem far away
Yeah and baby don’t you touch ground
Flatboard schemes, new human beings, remember once I said never
The things that made us sad seem far away
And so we go following dreams
For good or worse or in between
And who’d have thought that with one little girl
We could change our world
And baby don’t you touch ground
Yeah, Ella don’t you touch ground, Winston too
Yeah baby don’t you touch ground
Yeah I’ll be here when you’re down

LYRICS ::
Don’t drop by. I’ll be wasted
And I’ll get mean. You don’t want to see that again
You carved a number in the arm of my imagination
So I was too quick to rip out a page of history
But it’s a little sick, the way you tore me to confetti
Weep not for me as I burn all we created
But you, you can’t erase me
Songs of love fall on deaf ears wasted
You might think you found my replacement
But you, you can’t erase me...
These four thin walls keep me deep in isolation
They watch me bleed, while you’re out walking some new best friend
I’ll die laughing in the hall outside his coronation
But you, you can’t erase me
Songs of love fall on deaf ears wasted
You might think you found my replacement
But you, you can’t erase me…

LYRICS ::
I wander up a hill
To see the city by the bay it fills with bildge
And all the sewage of one day
I’m blown away
So I bought myself a raincan
I prayed for water
I ride my bike through town
For years I never feared until they knocked me down
They stole my shit and kicked my face
I am amazed
So I bought myself a raincan
I prayed for water
My raincan caught a cup
Of bildge and water
A car pulls up the curb
The window rolls as a pistol is exposed
He says, “No whities on my turf”
His pistol squirts
refrain
A friend pulls me aside
He said stop singing about the issues of our day
Everything you’ve said is just so base
You’re just a pretty face
refrain

Bring me on lassy
Take me along
We'll find a canyon
Make it our home, we’ll make it our home
Bring me 'long with you now
Show me your dreams
Bring me to places
I ain't never been to, places I ain't never been
I'm in for the duration
I'm in for the dura-
Take me on down on you crusading mission
I'm in for the dura-a-a-tion
Take me from body now
Show me your mind
My life it's yours
Don't leave it behind, oh man I love your behind
Take me from territory now
Fortress of gold
I'll walk the fences
You take the road, now I'll take the road.
Chorus...

LYRICS ::
Some call her quiet, others call her just plain weird
We hooked up in England days before she disappeared
Well love has a way of crushing those I’ve known
I thought I was strong, I wanted her to maintain control
In her altitude
These stones can’t wake her, hear them tick my window pane
Her lights burn bright, can't she recognize my name
Well you’re not the first to show me your scars of war
Go ahead shatter the glass, imagine what I'll use it for
In her altitudes
Miles beyond you
Altitudes
I visit her father silent in his wheel chair
Told him I knew what he'd done to her sophomore year
Well someday sir, the dreamers will cage the ghost
Pressing my face into the hollow of her throat
Oh everybody knows by now
You’re never going to pin her down
In her altitude
Miles beyond you
My circles confound you
Altitudes
Miles beyond you
Oh I’ll never amount to much
Altitude
Altitudes
I’m in my altitudes

LYRICS ::
Both: Sha-la-la
He: She’s a tiger for me
She: He's in love
Both: And it's easy to see
Both: Sha-la-la
She: He's your typical ted
He: But I can’t seem to say
Both: What ought to be said
Give me time lady of love
'Cause I'm crippled inside
You’re my, lady of love
Both: Sha-la-la
He: She's a tiger in town
She: I'm in love
Both: And she'll wag it around
Both: Sha-la-la
She: I say, “kiss me my man”
He: But in public, I couldn't
Both: I should, but I can’t
Give me time lady of love
'Cause I'm crippled inside
You’re my, lady of love
Both: Sha-la-la
He: She’s a tiger in bed
She: I’m in love
He: And it’s gone to my head
Both: Sha-la-la
He: Well I’ll cum with a speed
She: And I’m just getting started
He: And he’s cutting z’s
Give me time lady of love
'Cause I'm crippled inside
You’re my, lady of love...

LYRICS ::
Say waiter, can I have a flower for the baby?
It’s not her birthday or anniversary
Say waiter well can I have a flower for my baby?
Cause she’s the girl that’s right by me
I want a limo that runs on hot toddies
‘Cause I’m blowing my last dime right
There better be room for something kind of naughty ‘Cause the girl loves how this poor boy provides
Say waiter can I have a flower for the baby?
Pluck one off of that old Maitre d’
Say waiter well can I have a flower for my baby?
‘Cause she’s the only girl that’s right for me.
I want a limo that runs on hot toddies
‘Cause I’m blowing my last dime right
There better be leg room for something kind of naughty
‘Cause the girl loves this here poor boy provides
Say waiter well can I have a flower for my baby?
Hey, it’s not the 14th of February
Say waiter well can I have a flower for my baby?
‘Cause she’s the only girl these eys can, the only girl I, the only one I need.

LYRICS ::
Who blew out the sun
Shinned up a ladder and snuffed out the life giving one
Can’t you comprehend the magnitude
When you blew out the sun
Who pulls down the clouds
Drags them down hissing and kicking to die on the ground
Why oh why do I confide in you
When you blew out the sun
Why am I so blind as to abide you
Beauty belies you hides every wound
Towards the night we glide me tied behind you
Drawn towards the light of lost afternoons
Who punched out the moon
Picked up a stone and plucked the old bird in the eye
Why oh why do I withstand your vicissitudes
When you blew out the sun
You blew out the sun

LYRICS ::
You could say you’re satisfied with the love I provide
And you could say I’ve given you a lot but then I might think you lie
It ain’t easy knowing my love fails next to you
Well I used to think that it was enough to just work my days away
But though I loved you all of this while it was something that I left unsaid
It ain’t easy knowing my love pales coming through
Oh but I cannot love you enough
Woah, I love you nearly
Half so much dearly as I should
I cannot love… you enough
It ain’t easy knowing my love pales now coming through
Well I didn’t stop by to apologize we’d mull it over way too long
Besides I’ll bet you that you’re going to hedge and come to forgive me if I start coming on real strong
It ain’t easy having lame excuses, and I’ve got a few
But I cannot love you enough
Oh, I love you nearly
Half so much dearly as I should
I cannot love… you enough
I love you nearly
Half so much dearly as I should
I cannot love… you enough

LYRICS ::
Everything I own is all aboard
Turn off the light slide the key underneathe the door
I look at you, you look at me, we look around and then we realize
There’s nothing left to do
I’m on my way
I’m on my way
Really on my way, somewhere
No one said a word until the parking lot
Take good care of yourself you’re all you got
I said goodbye and so did you when no one moved we looked into each others eyes
And seeing what we see
I’m on my way
Really on my way
Really on my way
Somewhere
No you won’t go there
But I can’t stay here
You say I never asked you to
Why ask when I already knew
I look at you you look at me we couldn’t see the sky we’re standing in
Still here we are
I’m on my way
Really on my way
Really on my way
Somewhere
Somewhere
No you won’t go there
But I can’t stay here
No you won’t go there
But I can’t stay here

LYRICS ::
These are the days
These are the good ones
After this it’s all down hill
I got a raise
But something smells rotten
All good
Till you can’t pay the bill
Don’t know what this has to do with drinking
Hooking up, that’s all I want to do
But that old song’s got me thinking
Drink up ah-ah, all your sorrow
Drink up ah-ah, it’s almost tomorrow
Drink up ah-ah, time is borrowed
Drink up tomorrow we’re through
I’ve heard it said
I’vesSeen it written
You can’t stand still on no moving train
The seats are soft
The cabin’s air conditioned
You can’t feel
The wind or the rain
You ride along laughing and drinking
Hooking up with whoever you do
But the train you’re on’s a ship that’s sinking
Drink up ah-ah, all your sorrow
Drink up ah-ah, it’s almost tomorrow
Drink up ah-ah, time is borrowed
Drink up tomorrow we’re through
These are the days
Of ones and zeros
After this there’s nothing new
Of all the ways
I could’ve been your hero
Tonight’s the best I’ll do
I’ll figure out what this has to do with drinking
Hooking up when those days are through
As the harsh truth starts to sink in
Drink up ah-ah, all your sorrow
Drink up ah-ah, it’s almost tomorrow
Drink up ah-ah, time is borrowed
Drink up tomorrow we’re through
Drink up, all your sorrow
Drink up, it’s almost tomorrow
Drink up, time is borrowed
Drink up tomorrow we’re through

LYRICS ::
I never made a threat I can't keep
I didn't talk tough to hear myself speak
I said what I feel was real
And that's all
So don't be frightened when you acquiesce
When we plant the bomb in your dress
Searching for a fuse we can use
To blow minds
I'm gonna cut your groove right on time
I'm gonna cut your groove every time
I come on like clockwork girl
With a word I'll change your world
If I cut your groove you're gonna move right now
To people never doing what they say
Who sleep at night thinking that's OK
Thinking we're fooled. It’s not cool
That's all
So don't be shy when I'm behind your lines
Feeling things nobody finds
Those things about you we can use
To feel good
I'm gonna cut your groove right on time
I'm gonna cut your groove every time
I come on like clockwork girl
Without a word I'll change your world
If I cut your groove you're gonna move right now
I'm gonna cut your groove right on time
I'm gonna cut your groove baby every time
I come on like clockwork girl
Without a word I'll smoke your world
If I cut your groove you're gonna move right now...
