Walk Around The City of Water Matsue, Japan
Matsue (pop: 200,000) is located on the Ohashi River along the shore of Lake Shinji (Japan's 7th largest lake). With many little canals, the city is known as The City of Water.
Most of Matsue's attractions are in a compact area and can easily be enjoyed in a day or two of sightseeing.

揖屋（揖夜）神社（伊布夜社）Iya shrine(Matsue city)
松江市東出雲町にある古い神社。
「古事記」は「イザナギが黄泉国の軍団を振り切った黄泉比良坂（よもひらさか）は出雲の伊賦夜坂（いふやさか）のこと」と記し、
日本書紀は「斉明天皇の時代、犬が死人の手を言屋社（いうやのやしろ）に置いた。天皇崩御の前兆だ」と記しています。
大和朝廷は伊布夜社を「黄泉国」への入り口と位置付け、怖い社にしていたようです。
近くにある「黄泉比良坂」とセットでぜひ観光してください。

[Shinto Shrine 3D] Yomotsu Hirasaka, Iya Shrine, Izumo, 黄泉比良坂,揖夜神社, 出雲
Yomo-tsu-hirasaka is a small hill in Higashi-Izumo (Shimane, Japan). Peaple say this slope is the entrance to the land of the dead, so-called Yomino-Kuni.
黄泉平坂は、イザナキとイザナミの黄泉の国での別離話で有名です。
六所神社（国府の総社）Rokusyo shrine(bundle up a Shinto shrine of Izumo)
この六所神社は国府の総社と呼ばれ、古文書にもしばしば登場します。
総社とは国司が出雲国内の神々を合わせ祭るなど国内の神社を統括する機能を持っていました。
当時は国庁の隣接地にあったと考えられていますが、平安時代以降に国府が衰退して行くと神社はかっての中心地に移転し、この地区の氏神として信仰され現代に至っています。
真名井神社Manai shrine（イザナギを祀る）The chief god is Izanagi
社殿は本殿、拝殿、神楽殿、境内社からなります。
本殿は大社造りで檜皮葺きで周囲に透塀をめぐらす。
祭神はいさなぎの尊、天津彦根命（あまつひこねのみこと）です。
当社は出雲風土記に言う「真名井社」、延喜式に記す「真名井神社」で古い歴史を持つ意宇六社の一社です。
背後の山は「神名樋山（かんなび）」で出雲国内四神名樋のひとつで東南麓に真名井の滝があります。
現本殿は、寛文二年（1662）の建立で、内殿は正面に向かっています。
殿内には彩色絵があります。
拝殿は昭和９年に新築された土間床の造りです。

山陰の寺社巡り 神魂神社 島根県松江市
神魂神社に行ってきました。
ここの本殿は最古の大社造りの建物ということで国宝に指定されています。

[Shinto Shrine 3D] Kamayama Shrine, Wakayama 竈山神社 和歌山
Kamayama Shrine 竈山神社 is located in Wakayama, where Istuse-no-mikoto イツセノミコト is worshipped. He is a brother of the 1st emperor Jimmu Tenno 神武天皇. He and his brother Jimmu were born in Takachiho(Kyushu), and they started a military expedition to the east. On their journey, he was injured in the fighting of Naniwa, and passed away here, accoridng to Chronicles of Japan.
竈山(かまやま)神社、和歌山県。神武東征の折、イハレビコ(神武天皇)の軍隊は、難波の地で土着の神ナガスネヒコと闘い敗れた。負傷したイツセノミコト(五瀬命)は、「我々は日の神の子孫なので、太陽に向かって東から攻め入るのはよくない。回り込んで西から戦おう」と助言した。イツセノミコトは、迂回している途中怪我が悪化しこの世を去った。紀国の男水門(おのみなと)という地で亡くなり、この竈山の地にお墓が建てられた。現在は、神社本殿の裏に陵墓が存在する

How to Adventure in Setouchi, Japan
With the expansive Seto Inland Sea and tons of islands, coastlines, sweeping mountains and gorgeous gorges, there is so much natural beauty in Setouchi, it is overwhelming! It is difficult to capture all of the nature in one video! There are so many outdoor adventures to be had and I explored as many as I could in the sunny fall. A few of my favorites:
-Kayaking the magical waters around the floating Torii gate at --Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island.

-Admiring the natural phenomenon that are the Naruto Whirlpools
