He had an opportunity to see the assembly line, tool manufacturing facility, forging production, logistical center and R&D facility. Ijevsk (em russo: Ижевск) é a capital e a maior cidade da Udmúrtia, na Rússia. Localiza-se no leste da Rússia européia. Tem cerca de 612 mil habitantes. Foi fundada pelos russos em 1760. Designou-se Ustinov entre 1984 e 1987. É a cidade onde-se residiu Mikhail Kalashnikov, criador do fuzil de assalto AK-47, morto no final de 2013 de causas naturais.
A cidade se situa próximo ao rio Ij, a 40 quilômetros antes dele desaguar no rio Kama.

Vladimir Putin Moscow State University
Vladimir Putin visited the historical building of Moscow State University at Mokhovaya Street ahead of Russian Students Day.
During his visit to the MSU Museum of Anthropology, the President was shown the veil from the reliquary of St Zosima of Solovki (died on April 17, 1478), a co-founder of the Solovetsky Monastery. The image embroidered in gold thread on gold cloth was found in the museum’s collection in 2017 and subsequently restored at the Grabar Art Conservation Centre. According to the centre’s experts, the veil was manufactured at the turn of the 19th century. A similar veil of St Zosima made in 1661 is kept in the collection of the State Russian Museum in St Petersburg.
Vladimir Putin also met with MSU students, who showed him their designs for a digital culture and education centre for students and for the National Student Theatre Festival. They also told the President about the LANAT School Research Laboratory, which aims to encourage talented children to get involved in research projects.

В самом центре Ижевска рядом с памятником оружейникам расположился один из любимых горожанами музеев — Музей завода Ижмаш (ныне концерна «Калашников»).
Музей занимает старейшее здание города Ижевска, сооруженное в 1804 году. В разные годы здесь располагались денежная кладовая, гауптвахта, кухня со столовой и даже лесничество.
Сегодня в музее завода хранятся уникальные экспонаты, представляющие многовековую историю оружейного дела России и Удмуртии, рассказывающие об удивительных фактах, связанных с разработками самых знаменитых образцов спортивного, охотничьего, коллекционного оружия, образцов, стоящих на вооружении нашей армии.
В музее можно увидеть старинные опытные макеты станков, ружья и винтовки, пулеметы и авиапушки, коллекцию мотоциклов. В том числе мотоцикл Иж-1 — опытный образец 1929 года.
