One day trip to Izu area from Tokyo by car. Izu is located in Shizuoka prefecture of Japan. It has nice scenery including Mount Fuji and ocean. Our first destination was Izunokuni Panorama Park Ropeway. The Izunokuni Panorama Park Ropeway, formerly known as the Katsuragiyama ropeway, is Japanese aerial lift line in Izunokuni, Shizuoka. You can enjoy rope way to go to the top of mountain where you can enjoy the beauty of Mt. Fuji and surrounding area.

You can go there by bus. From JR Shinjuku Station, take a shuttle bus of Izu-Shinkuku Liner for approx. 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Then we went to strawberry picking farm. You can pick and eat as much as you want.

Sanyo-so, Izu Nagaoka (三養荘)
There are nice ryokan, and then there are places where the emperor has stayed. Sanyo-so in Izu Nagaoka (Izunokuni City) was nuts. Also had an experience with geisha (here called 'geigi') for the first time. Not what I expected at all!

天皇陛下が２回泊まったことのある旅館三養荘。素敵。初めての芸者（「芸妓」）体験をして、まさに想像以外だった。現代のホステスクラブとの直線ははっきり見えた。
