Starting from the entrance we walk the length of the Izumo grounds, one of Japan's most significant and oldest shrines. It's cultural value gives it my Super Shrine mark and a must-visit place on any trip to this area of Japan.

Izumo Taisha (出雲大社) - One of the most ancient and important Shrines in Japan [4K] POV
Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine is located in Izumo city, Shimane prefecture which is west part of Honshu.
It is one of the most ancient and important Shito Shrines.
According to the unique folklore, the myriad of gods around Japan all gather to this shrine to conduct meetings once a year.

Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine （出雲大社）, Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, Japan
Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine （出雲大社） is located in Izumo city （出雲市） of Shimane Prefecture （島根県） in Chugoku region of Japan. The nearest train station JR Izumoshi is about 3 hours on the Limited Express train, Yakumo, from JR Okayama Station.
Izumo Taisha Grand shrine is the oldest and the first Shinto shrine in Japan and it is enshrined by diety O-kuninushi-no-okami, who is also known as Daikoku-sama.
O-kuninushi-no-okami, Izumo Oyashiro, the diety who is enshrined here is known as the creator of all things under the heavens. He is known by many names such as Daikoku-sama, en-musubi and he has founded Japan and made the land suitable to live in.
When the video was taken the Main Structure is going renovations so, I did not get a chance to video it. But the Oracle Hall and the Main worship halls were included in this video.
Both halls have large rope like hangings, made with reed and dried rice plants and they are impressive.

Izumo Taisha - Shimane - 出雲大社
Located in the lovely city of Izumo in Shimane prefecture, Izumo Taisha is actually one of Japan’s most important shrines. While we have no clear date when Izumo Taisha was erected, we find some mention of Izumo Taisha in the early 700s in Japan’s oldest chronicles.
The main god enshrined at Izumo Taisha is Okuninushi no Okami and according to myth, Okuninushi was the creator of the land of Japan and the ruler of Izumo. He also became known as the deity of good relationships and marriage, making by default Japan’s most beloved temple for Japanese people looking for love. Visitors consequently clap their hands four times instead of the usual two times during their prayers: twice for themselves and twice for their actual or desired partners.

Izumo Taisha
Izumo-taisha is one of the most ancient and important Shinto shrines in Japan. No record gives the date of establishment. Located in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture, it is home to two major festivals. It is dedicated to the god Okuninushi (Okuninushi-no-mikoto), famous as the Shinto deity of marriage.
A style of architecture, taisha-zukuri, takes its name from the main hall of Izumo-taisha. That hall, and the attached buildings, were designated National Treasures of Japan in 1952. According to tradition, the hall was previously much taller than presently. The discovery in the year 2000 of the remains of enormous pillars has lent credence to this.
Several other buildings in the shrine compound are on the list of Important Cultural Properties of Japan.

Japan Rail Trip #2: Izumo Taisha Shrine & Tamatsukuri Onsen 出雲大社＆玉造温泉／島根

We arrived at Izumo-shi (shi means city) after spending the night in an over night train. Took a bus for about 30 mins to Izumo Taisha Shrine, which is one of the most famous shrines in Japan.
It was very cold in Shimane, unlike Tokyo before we left it was very warm.
It's said that if you pray at Izumo Taisha, you can meet right people / person, get a right job, right partner, fertile, money and so on ...
After leaving Izumo Taisha, we went to famous rock at a beach and one of the old lighthouse in Japan. It's Hinomisaki lighthouse.
Also there was another shrine basically same Japanese shinto god are worshiped there. The view from the lighthouse is great.
Then we moved to Tamatsukuri Onsen (hot spring) where we stay a night. Nice hotel (was on promotion and good reasonable price), both hotel and Onsen were very relaxing, gorgeous.
Onsen water makes June's (probably Nige's as well) skin fresh and smooth, it's recommend for women for anti-aging and for everyone for their good health.
夜行電車「サンライズ出雲」で出雲市に到着、出雲大社に向かいました。日本では有名な出雲大社、縁結びにご利益があると言われています。恋愛に限らず友情や人間関係にもご利益があるとされています。健康や平和や人々との良きご縁を祈りました。
出雲大社を後にし、その後は日本で一番古い灯台と言われている日御碕灯台に向かいました。まずは徒歩で神社が祀られている岩が有名な稲佐海岸に立ち寄り、その後バスで日御碕灯台に。
日御碕灯台の凛とした様子も、そこからの眺めも素晴らしかったです。ここにも別の神社、日御碕神社があり、そこでも出雲大社と同じ天照大御神、そして素盞鳴尊が祀られています。
その後は玉造温泉に移動。温泉大作戦というドラマに出てきた「ホテル玉泉」に泊まります。ポイントで安く泊まれたのですが、とても良いお宿でした。温泉も広々。お肌がすべすべになりました。美肌の湯としても有名で、女性には特におすすめです。
玉造温泉の街には小さな川が流れ、風情を醸し出しています。
