Narita to Tokyo by NEX
Narita Airport (formerly also known as New Tokyo International Airport) is located in the city of Narita in Chiba Prefecture, about 60 kilometers outside of Tokyo. It consists of three terminal buildings: terminal 1, terminal 2 and terminal 3. Terminal 1 and 2 each have a railway station in their respective basements. Terminal 3 serves low-budget airlines.
The most comfortable way of travel between Narita Airport and Tokyo Station is the JR Narita Express (NEX). The one way journey takes roughly one hour, costs around 3000 yen and is fully covered by the Japan Rail Pass, JR Tokyo Wide Area Pass and some other JR passes. There are departures every 30 to 60 minutes. The NEX Tokyo Round Trip Ticket for 4000 yen provides foreign travelers with a discounted round trip from the airport into Tokyo and back within a 2-week period.

Die E217-Serie ist eine Vorstadt Elektrischer Triebzug (WWU) Zugtyp von East Japan Railway Company (JR East) in der Kanto-Region von Japan seit 1994 betrieben.
1994 eingeführt, um die 113-Serie EMUs Lauf am Sobu Line (Rapid) und Yokosuka-Linie ersetzen, war es der erste Außen-S-Bahn-Typ in Japan zu vier Paar Türen pro Seite auf dem Auto verfügen. Die Grundkonstruktion wurde aus der 209-Serie Pendler EMUs entwickelt. Es ersetzt alle Serie Züge Yokosuka-Linie 113 von 1999. Die Züge wurden gemeinsam von Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Tokyu Car und JR East (Niitsu und Ofuna Fabriken) gebaut.
Sie nutzen Mitsubishi GTO-Thyristoren und VVVF Wechselrichter mit Mitsubishi MT68 Fahrmotoren. Übersetzungsverhältnis 97:16.

People eat “oden” on an unused platform at JR East’s Ryogoku Station next to Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena. Visitors can also take a photo while sitting under “kotatsu,” a traditional Japanese heater-embedded table. The popup restaurant will be open from 7:30 p.m. (weekdays) or 1 p.m. (weekends) until 9 p.m. (Sunday is only open until 7 p.m.) from Jan. 17-20, 2019.
