Today we’re back in Japan exploring the region of Kyushu. Kyushu is home to famous cities like Fukuoka, Kumamoto and Nagasaki etc, and also home to one of Japan’s most beautiful onsen towns too.
In this vlog we visit the town of Yufuin, located in the Oita prefecture of Japan. Just a 2 hour + train right from Fukuoka’s Hakata Station, Yufuin serves as a great base for exploring the east coast of the Kyushu region, including areas such as Hita, Beppu & Oita.
Yufuin itself has so much to offer, but in upcoming vlogs we’ll be covering other areas in Kyushu that we did day trips too, so be sure to click the subscribe button and turn on post notifications.

或る列車 乗車記 車窓 長崎コース:佐世保駅〜長崎駅

キロシ47形・JRKYUSHU SWEET TRAIN「或る列車」は、JR九州が運行する観光列車「D&S列車」で2015年より運行されています。
大分駅〜日田駅間の「大分コース」と佐世保駅〜長崎駅間の「長崎コース」があります。
車両の内外装デザインは水戸岡鋭治氏が担当しています。車内では東京・南青山のレストラン「NARISAWA」の成澤由浩氏監修したレシピによる九州の食材を使用したスイーツや軽食を楽しめます。
豪華寝台列車「ななつ星in九州」に匹敵する内装で、気軽に乗れる豪華列車です。
乗車したのは長崎コースの午前便（佐世保発長崎行き ）。

It has been operating since 2015 on sightseeing train operated by JR Kyushu in Japan.
There are Oita Course between Oita Station and Hita Station and
“Nagasaki Course” between Sasebo Station and Nagasaki Station.
Mr. Eiji Mitooka is in charge of the interior and exterior design of the vehicle.
In the car, supervised by Mr. Yosihiro Narisawa of the restaurant NARISAWA in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo
You can enjoy sweets and snacks using Kyushu ingredients by recipe.
It is a luxury train that you can easily get on with an interior comparable to that of the luxury sleeper train Nanatsuboshi in Kyushu.
I took the Nagasaki course (from Sasebo to Nagasaki).

Kiroshi 47 Type / JRKYUSHU SWEET TRAIN “Aru ressha” is a sightseeing train “D & S Train” operated by JR Kyushu since 2015.
There are “Oita Course” between Oita Station and Hita Station and “Nagasaki Course” between Sasebo Station and Nagasaki Station.
Mr. Sharp Mitooka is in charge of the interior and exterior design of the vehicle. In the car, you can enjoy sweets and snacks using Kyushu ingredients with recipes supervised by Mr. Yasuhiro Narusawa at the restaurant “NARISAWA” in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
It is a luxury train that you can easily get on, with an interior comparable to the luxury sleeper train Nanatsu Hoshi in Kyushu.
I took the morning flight of the Nagasaki course (from Sasebo to Nagasaki).

JR九州、久大本線日田駅、2017年の九州北部豪雨により日田駅より西側の区間が寸断されていましたが、2018年7月に橋がかけ替えられ全通しました。
日田駅には、リゾートトレイン或る列車が停車していました。

Hita Gion Festival
In late July every year, Hita comes alive with the sound of Gion-bayashi music and spectacular 10m-high floats pulled to the accompaniment of soul-stirring chants. Held on the first Saturday and Sunday after July 20 each year, the festival is a 300-year tradition to ward off disease and destruction such as wind and water damage and to pray for peace and safety. Lavishly decorated floats are pulled through the streets of the Mameda, Kuma and Takeda districts. The excitement reaches its peak when night falls, with an elegant lantern procession through the mountains. You can see a preview of all nine floats in front of JR Hita station from the Thursday before the festival starts.

雪景色の日田彦山線〜JR Kyushu Hita-Hikosan line
雪景色の竜ヶ鼻をバックにキハ147+40系が香春町へ坂を下ります。少しクリーム系の白色を使う九州色ですが、雪の中ではかなり黄色く見えます。やはり汚れでしょうか。
