Howling Monkey Adventures in Jaco, Costa Rica
We booked an off road excursion with Brett and Stephanie, the owners of Howling Monkey Adventures in Jaco, Costa Rica. We had an absolute BLAST! We took the road less traveled in Jaco, the dirty one in the drivers seat of a TomCar which is an amazing vehicle that is capable of going anywhere! Our tour guides, Luis and his sweet dog Carnita showed us all the cool spots in Jaco. Spectacular views of the beach and the town of Jaco from Miro Mountain, a beautiful waterfall on private property, incredible scenery and we even stopped at an authentic local restaurant/bar high above Jaco. Definitely our best memories of Jaco!

Jaco, Costa Rica - Adventure Guru
Gain a glimpse into this Pacific Coast, surfer-friendly, tourist hub. The streets are lined with souvenir shops that all mostly sell the same stuff. At night the environment is much different. This is a party town and prostitution is legal, so you will see those workers. Daytime activities include surfing, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, ATV tours, kayaking, boat/catamaran tours, waterfall rappelling, ziplining, and more. Plus, you're just 1.5 hours from SJO Airport and 50 minutes from popular Manuel Antonio National Park.
Access: The roads here have many cracks and holes. That being said, there are access friendly resorts like Best Western and there is a wooden mat to help get closer to the beach on the very south end of town.
