LARGEST SEAFOOD MARKET in Korea! Jagalchi Market in Busan
For my last day in Busan I went to the Jagalchi seafood market. The great thing about Jagalchi market is that you can buy the seafood and the vendors will cook the food for you and serve the food to you in their restaurant upstairs.

The Biggest Korean Fish and Seafood Market in Busan, Korea | Eating Raw Fish at Jagalchi (자갈치시장)
Come join us as we visit the biggest fish market and seafood market in South Korea located in downtown Busan (Jagalchi Fish Market - 자갈치시장) where we tour the stalls and interact with the vendors before ordering a delicious Korean raw fish feast known locally as chobap.
David's channel:
The most fascinating experience for us in terms of visiting Busan's largest fish market was just seeing rows upon rows of stalls with vendors interacting with customers, preparing raw fish and seafood on the spot and just noticing all kinds of fish and sea creatures we had never seen anywhere else in our lives before.
After running into a nice Korean man located at stall number 7 we decided to order Korean raw fish from him and then we moved upstairs to the third level to sit on traditional Korean tables low to the ground where we ate the hoe also known as chobap for lunch along with various side dishes and a fish head soup. To wash it all down we drank Korean beer and soju.
Overall, visiting the biggest fish market in Korea was a true highlight from our time in Busan and something we'd highly recommend for visitors to consider as well.

The Biggest Korean Fish and Seafood Market in Busan, Korea | Eating Raw Fish at Jagalchi (자갈치시장):
Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a vlogging travel couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.
Our most recent trip was to South Korea where I embarked upon a two-week adventure without Audrey. Invited as part of a YouTube vlogging trip, organized by KTO, I spent the first week traveling with other YouTubers in Seoul, Busan and Gyeongju. My second week included independent exploration of Korea with my good friend and fellow YouTuber David of DavidsBeenHere.
Having lived and traveled in South Korea, the chance to return to one of my favorite countries was one of the biggest surprises of 2019. On this particular trip, I had an opportunity to do many things I had not previously covered including a visit to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone between South Korea and North Korea), a Buddhist Temple Stay and a Korean cooking class. It was almost as if the program designed by KTO knew exactly what I had missed out on before.
Obviously, a huge highlight from the two weeks I spent revisiting Korea was the food. I feasted on all of my favorite Korean dishes including Korean barbecue, dolsot bibimbap, haemul pajeon, tteokbokki, bulgogi, kimbap and many others. I can honestly say that Korean food is world-class and is one of my top 5 favorite cuisines in the world. Aside from trying familiar dishes, I had the opportunity to sample raw Korean seafood for the first time.
While visiting Seoul, highlights included going to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Namsan Seoul Tower, Jogyesa Temple and Hongdae. As one of the biggest cities in the world, I barely scratched the surface of things to do in Seoul.
Spending extended time in Busan was my favorite part about the trip with top highlights including a Korean temple stay, fresh fish markets and a Korean baseball game. It was from Busan that we ended up taking a day-trip to Daegu where we enjoyed a traditional Korean market and tried Galbi-Jjim for the first time.
If you want to see more videos from Korea in the future, let us know in the comments what places you'd like us to travel to and what food experiences you'd like to see on this travel channel.

Mouthwatering BUSAN FOOD TOUR - KOREAN STREET FOOD at Jagalchi market + MORE
Subscribe for more food and travel videos:
BUSAN is a food paradise and when you visit there are a number of dishes you have got to EAT. We take you on a STREET FOOD tour of Busan’s famous foods…
We eat:
Eomuk
As a port city Busan is famous for its eomuk or fishcakes. There are countless street vendors selling this popular snack including tricked up versions featuring sausages, cheese and shellfish. Street food vendors selling fish eomuk are all over the city, otherwise Samjin are the most popular, commercialised eomuk eatery in Korea.
Yubu Jeomoni
These fried tofu bags stuffed with glass noodles and julienned vegetables are a firm winter favourite. Served in a warming broth the tofu soaks up the flavoursome soup and helps beat away those chills. Look out for these at the street carts in BIFF Square.
Milmeyon
Milmyeon or wheat noodles are a popular dish to eat in summer when they are served cold. Chewy noodles languish in an icy cold broth (sheets of ice are added to the broth) together with cucumber, pear, slices of beef and a dollop of gochujang sauce. It might not be the most ideal thing to be eating in the winter time but it sure is tasty! We ate at at Halmae Gaya Milmyeon, 부산광역시 Jung-gu, Gwangbok-dong, Gwangbok-ro, 56-14. Open daily 10:15am to 9:30pm.
Dwaeji Gukbap
Pork rice soup- a dish that’s said to be hard to find outside of Busan. Pork bones are boiled for long hours before soy, rice wine and other aromatics are added to the broth. The resulting milky broth is served with thinly sliced pork and rice as a watery porridge with a dollop of gochujang (Korean red pepper paste) to which fermented, salted shrimp, garlic, kimchi, garlic chives and ssamjang can be added. Delicious and hearty! We ate at Pohang Dwaeji Gukbap, 25, Seomyeon-ro 68beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan 47286.
Ssiat Hotteok
This Korean seed pancake is totally addictive. A glutinous rice flour dough is stuffed with a sugar and cinnamon mixture before being shallow fried in a pan of butter or oil. Once golden and crispy it’s cut open and filled with pumpkin, sunflower and sesame seeds. As you bite into the hotteok the cinnamon sugar oozes out. You can find ssiat hotteok all over Busan including at BIFF Square, Gukje Market and street vendors in Seomyeon.
Seafood feast
Jalgachi Fish market is the biggest seafood market in Korea. It’s a bustling, exciting place to visit and spend a couple of hours watching the vendors selling and customers buying every type of seafood imaginable. On the outskirts of the market are a number of restaurants serving fried fish lunch sets.

Today I give you a walking tour of Busan's famed fish market known for its fresh seafood: Jagalchi Shijang (자갈치시장). It used to be outdoor, but upon the construction of the new building, vendors moved inside. Many stalls continue to set up outside, which I found to be a much more fun experience to venture through. Feel free to buy your raw fish on the first floor and enjoy it on the second floor where restaurants will set up side dishes. Otherwise you can purchase the fish directly from the restaurant. Watch to see the action unfold!

Jagalchi Market | Korea Vlog 2019 | 자갈치시장
Hey Everyone!
Where: Jagalchi Seafood Market
Location: Busan, Korea
Today we’re heading to Jagalchi Fish Market Busan, South Korea. This was one of my favorite things to do in South Korea while I was living there!
This was in comparison to my last trip to a fish market at Noryangjin Fish Market in Seoul, South Korea. (check out those videos if you haven't already!) They were both awesome but the Jagalchi fish market Busan was a little bit easier to navigate as someone who speaks Korean poorly. Busan travel is only done right if you are eating lots of Busan food! Korean food is famous around the world but Busan food is famous within Korea so it is a must!
Hope you enjoy this Busan vlog and Busan tour! Thanks for watching!

We stayed @ Almond Hotel, Busan Station. I highly recommend this hotel! It is so cozy and 5 mins walk to MTR station. Super convenient to travel around with just a tap on the gantry :D
I highly recommend for the seafood feast in Jagalchi to experience the atmosphere and wide varieties of seafood !!!
