Jagdish Chandra Bose Aquarium is situated in the Pal area of Surat, Gujarat, India. It is named after the Bengali scientist Jagadish Chandra Bose.
This Video was recorded in October 2017, at that time the Aquarium was still under expansion and development.

Surat Aquarium is one of the best aquariums in India.
Jagdish Chandra Bose Aquarium (or the Surat Aquarium) is located in the Pal region of Surat and is considered one of the best tourist attractions of Surat. With more than 100 species of aquatic creatures, the Surat Aquarium presents the overwhelming beauty of underwater life in 52 specially created tanks, each having its own natural ecosystem.
This aquarium was built by Surat municipal corporation and inaugurated by hon'ble prime minister of India Shree Narendra modi.

Surat is the home of India’s first multidisciplinary underwater aquarium located at the Pal area of the city called as Jagdishchandra Bose Aquarium. ( જગદીશચંદ્ર બોઝ માછલીઘર સુરત )
The aquarium built at the Jagdish chandra Bose Udyan (Garden) in Adajan on 25,722 square meter of land with the cost of 20 crore.
The aquarium has more than 150+ species of fish from fresh, saline and marine waters, in 52 tanks.
It has 46 aquarium tanks and 4 ecosystem tanks apart from a shark pool. It also has a separate turtle pool and Koi fish pond.
Each tank represent the species own natural living environment.
Shark is the main attraction of the aquarium. The shark tank is two floor high and hold 700000 liters of water.
A very large blue whale skeleton located outside the aquarium in the garden area.
The aquarium ticket rates are between 10 to 50 Rs and it remains open from 10 am in the morning to 6 pm in the evening.'

The exiting Aquarium is an integral unit & aqua part of Dr.Shyamprasad Mukerjee Zoological Garden & is situated at Kasturba Gandhi Bal Udhyan, popularly known as Pakshighar (old mini zoo, Chowk Bazar.Being located in the heart of the Surat City, it attracts more & more children from the walled city area of Surat. It contains 36 nos.of beautiful aquarium boxes, in which 36 varities of fresh water ornamental fishes have been displayed in simulated, safe & secured environment. This aquarium was damaged severly during dreades flood-2006, which has again been up dated by the efforts of zoo & aquarium staff with the valuable guidence of the superiors and support of competent authority.
