Madhuban is located in the foot of Parasnath hills. There are large nos. of temples related to Digambar Jains and Shwetambar jains. Bhagwan Parshvanath is the main diety of these temples. Here we will see mainly the Beespanthi Kothi and other temples around including Digamber Jain Madhyalok Shodh Sansthan. The premises of bhagwan Bahubali called Bhagwan Bahubali Jinalaya has a statue which is 25 Ft. high and is made of white marble stone. It is surrounded by 24 small temples which consists of idols of 24 Teerthankaras each.

How to reach: Madhuban is about 23 KMs from Parasnath Rly. Station on Mughalsarai- Howrah Grand Chord route. Many important trains have stoppage here. Hire a van. It takes about half an hour to reach there.

Where to stay: Dharmashalas and Hotels are available in Madhuban and Isri near Rly. station.

Ranchi Hill Station

Ranchi is a famous hill station and the capital of Jharkhand. Ranchi is popularly known as the ‘Manchester of the East’. This place is mainly famous for the beauty of its waterfalls but Ranchi Hill also offers a very beautiful view. At the base of Ranchi Hill, there is beautiful Ranchi Lake and at the top of the hill, there is a Lord Shiva temple. You can enjoy trekking and rock climbing here.

Ghatshila is a very popular hill station in Jharkhand situated in Purbi Singhbhum district of Jharkhand at the banks of Subarnarekha river. Galudih is the most famous place here where one artificial man-made beautiful dam is present named Burudi Dam. Bengali author Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay’s house can be spotted here in Gourikunj.

Parasnath Hills are a range of hills located in Giridih district of Jharkhand. The highest peak is 1350 metres. It is one of the most important pilgrimage centre for Jains. They call it Sammed Sikhar. Some of the temples on the hill are believed to be more than 2,000 years old. However, although the place is habited from ancient times, the temples may be of more recent origin. The Santhals call it Marang Buru, the hill of the deity. They celebrate a hunting festival on the full moon day in Baisakh (mid April).



You can visit this place by road or train.
