Chulia Mosque, Chinatown Singapore
Masjid Jamae (Masjid means mosque in Arab)is one of the earliest mosques in Singapore, and is located in the Chinatown district within the Central Area. The mosque was established in 1826. This mosque is also known as Chulia Mosque, Maideen Mosque and the Big Mosque among the Tamil Muslim community in Singapore. The mosque stands out in its predominantly Chinese location. Its presence might well have been the inspiration for the name of the street that runs beside it — Mosque Street.

In this video I have shown the simple procedure of returning the Singapore Tourist Pass and getting a refund of 10 dollars per pass. After that we have visited the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown and a look at the Sri Mariamman Hindu Temple and Chulia Jamae Masjid.... all within a distance of one minute walk. These closely located places of worship has highlighted the close religious harmony among the people of Singapore.
